Leaning down, Katsuki placed a soft kiss on the sleeping Izuku's temple before straightening back up and watching as a freckled nose scrunched from the uninvited intrusion. A hearty but soft chuckle rumbled through his chest at the cuteness of it all before the invading male leaned back down and lightly covered slightly pursed lips with his own. Green eyes that were previously squeezed tightly shut flew open in momentary panic before realization kicked in. Upon recognizing the handsome features of his boyfriend's face, Deku closed his emerald orbs once more before smiling warmly and relaxing into the surprise kiss.

Without concern or true recollection for where the two currently were, the younger teen reached up to tangle a scared hand into pale spiked hair as the two deepened their connection. Their union at that moment was not heated. There was no lust. No urgency. No soul consuming desire. Only love.

All too soon the peaceful pair parted enough to stare into one another's practically sparkling eyes. It was a moment they had shared a few times over the last several months of their relationship, but every kiss was precious to them both. As they began to exchange quiet morning greetings the blonde laid down next to the smaller boy so they could embrace without the prone youth needing to leave the warmth of his comfy bed.

Neither noticed a third pair of eyes watching them through the slightly ajar door. Inko wasn't spying, she would never! She had simply gone up to see if the boys wanted to have breakfast together. The sight of the male she had just been speaking with gently caressing her son's hair halted her hand from knocking on the half open door. She stood frozen in place as she watched the scene play out, mentally taking note of numerous things at once. After all, Izuku didn't get his analytical skills from thin air.

Several small observations from the last five days started to click into place for the older greenette as she remanded locked in place. How Izuku looked at his phone with a love sick smile on his face anytime he got a text he said was from Katsuki. How the feisty blonde still allowed her son to address him with that childish nickname he always claimed to hate. How the shirts her boy chose to sleep in all week each seemed to be far too big for him, as if they belonged to someone with a larger build. Each piece of the puzzle individually could be ignored but when put together they created an undeniable picture.

It all made so much sense. How did she miss it?

Choosing to not confront the couple and bring back any tension that had managed to dispel over the last hour, the surprised but pleased woman turned away and went back to the kitchen unseen. Once safely back downstairs she called out to the boys with the offer of a hot breakfast. If they wanted to keep the true nature of their relationship private from her for now she wouldn't push them. She trusted her child to tell her when he was ready. She only hoped that time would come before the pair headed back to school in two days time.

Fifteen minutes later the unknowingly not-so-secret couple entered the kitchen to the smell of delicious homemade food. As the shorter of the two immediately began setting three places at the table, the taller offered his assistance in the final stages of cooking. As the three later ate their meal there was light conversation about the antics of class 2A and some of the details of their time with Pro Hero Flurry in their work study internship. Overall the atmosphere was comfortable and happy. A stark contrast to Katsuki's first visit several days prior.

While everyone seated at the table believed they held an important secret they didn't let that dampen the mood. When they all finished eating and were cleaning up, the boys decided to spend the day in Izuku's room as both of the Bakugo parents would be at work until early evening. As an epic Mario Kart tournament was planned and light hearted threats exchanged, the elder Midoriya posed a thought.

"Boys, how about we plan to have dinner together with all five of us tomorrow since it will be your last night before going back to the dorms? We could make a hot pot like we did when you were kids!" The look on Deku's face left little question as to how he felt about the idea but both greenette's turned to the fiery blonde for the final verdict.

"Sure Auntie, I bet my Old Man and the Hag- "

"Katsuki!"

"Sorry Auntie. I'm sure Mom and Dad would like that. I'll talk to them about it when they get home tonight. We can probably get the meat if you promise to make the broth. Not Deku." Smirking, the self-assured youth didn't even flinch at the hard slap to his firm bicep courtesy of his curly haired partner. He knew it was coming and it was completely worth it.

"I can help! You said so yourself I was doing well with things like broths. It's not like there's rice involved." Rolling his eyes and crossing his arms at the veiled insult the freckled teen pouted at his supposed partner.

The urge to take the slightly protruding lip between his teeth and show the smaller youth just how much he affected the blonde was strong. So very very strong. Katsuki almost didn't care that his boyfriend wasn't ready to reveal the full depth of their relationship to his mother. Almost. Outing the pair here and now by acting on his rather indecent impulse would betray the greenette's trust. And that would hurt him. Hurting Izuku was exactly what the crimson-eyed boy promised the woman standing next to him that he WOULDN'T do. So instead he did what he does best. He showed his support. With (ridicule) constructive criticism.

"True. But we don't have Ponytail here to make a new pot in case you decide to channel your inner idiot and destroy Aunties cookware."

"KACCHAN! THAT WAS ONE TIME AND IT WASN'T BROTH!" Laughter and seemingly aggressive yet friendly yelling filled the house for the rest of the day stopping only for a sparring session and the occasional snack.

The next evening found both families seated around the low table in the Midoriya great room happily dipping paper thin strips of beef and pork in perfectly flavored broth while scooping out excellently cooked vegetables. Half way through the meal Katsuki elbowed his boyfriend in an agreed upon silent signal.

Tonight was the night they would reveal the full depth of their relationship with one another not only as friends and partners in Hero work but in a romantic setting as well. This was the moment they had both spent the week waiting for. And dreading. If they were going to do this before going back to campus in the morning it was now or never. It was time.

The pair had stayed up quite late the night before texting about revealing everything to their parents and how they would go about the uncomfortable confession. They agreed to do it at dinner so that everyone would be present together and there could be no misunderstandings. The plan was simple: tell the parents that supported them how they really felt about one another. Then either be accepted, or start (crying) screaming. Time would tell.

Taking a deep breath to steady his nerves, Izuku put down his chopsticks and cleared his throat to get everyone's attention. The boys agreed he should be the one to speak up to make the confession more believable and less likely to be rejected outright. Nobody in the house could resist a crying Deku. Nobody.

"Mom, Auntie, Uncle? Kacchan and I have something we want to tell you all. It's something important that we should have told you about a few months ago but we weren't sure how you all would feel about it. Everyone in our class knows already but we haven't told any of the teachers. It's not that we're hiding it from them-"

"Except we are."

"Kacchan!"

"It's the truth. But not for any sketchy reason, it's just not something they need to know." The calmness and lack of anger in the fiery teen's words carried the weight of his sincerity.

"We don't want to bother them with it is all. We wouldn't have told our class either but they kind of made us." Izuku looked about ready to have a full on panic attack as he stumbled through his efforts to confess the truth to their families. Under the table the now silent blonde gripped the freckled youth's hand tightly. It was hard to see the guy he loved looking so utterly scared, but he fully understood and shared the nervousness his emerald-eyed companion felt. Though it didn't show on his face this was a huge step for them both and it could break them.

"Izu, honey. We love you both and whatever it is we are here for you." The honest smile on Inko's somewhat round face was reassuring and comforting. Maybe it really WOULD be ok?

"Ka-Kachan... he and I... well we... for a few months... Katsuki and I have been... dating." Clenching his eyes tightly closed, the curly haired successor of One for All was far too frightened to see the reactions of their parents.

Though, that didn't stop him from hearing them.

"Ha! Told you Masaru. Pay up."
