It had taken a few weeks but by the end of Flurry's first few months working with her 'Wonder Duo' (lackeys) interns she noticed a rather peculiar pattern. On slow days when there was not much going on and patrols were uneventful the pair would sneak off together towards the middle of the day during their lunch break only to return panting and bruised. It didn't take much for her to figure out the greenette would intentionally provoke his partner into a bout of sparring specifically to help the feistier trainee relax and take the edge off his natural aggression. The snow quirk user was rather happy to take over that particular unofficial duty. After all, provoking Bakugo was soooooo much fun!

The trio's first few assignments for the day went as smoothly as any Pro Hero could possibly hope for. That was to say: completely uneventful and hopelessly boring. Zero action on patrol. Not even a pickpocket to chase. No threats or suspicious persons at the snoozefest that was the political conference. Honestly, even Midoriya was bored by lunch.

Knowing how pent-up her hot-tempered ward surely had to be, the bluette decided the opportunity was ripe to pick a fight as the trio headed to a local sandwich shop. And she knew exactly which buttons to press. "So, Deku. When you get your full license I'm betting the agency will offer you a permanent position and I expect you to accept it."

"Kacchan and I would love to stay on after graduation! We already talked about a lot of options but we both love working with you all at the Tower. It would be great if we could keep doing that!"

"I'm sure everybody would be thrilled for you to stay on my little Green Bean. Don't know how they'd feel about your boy toy though. Not sure we have much use for guys that need constant babysitting."

"The fuc- what do you mean by that EXACTLY?" The clenched teeth made Dynamight's words a little harder to understand, but the look on his face said it all. A small explosion set off in his palm as he chested up to the older woman reinforced her mental victory clearly having missed the 'boy toy' reference.

Mission accomplished.

"On second thought, you might be TOO strong. You can't fully control your powers so you're actually more dangerous than he is. At least Dynamight can control his quirk. And with excellent precision. He even looks out for bystanders, though he'll never admit it."

Tilting his head in thought at Flurry's harsh but honest words, Izuku had to admit they were true. Even if they hurt. "You're right. Kacchan is going to be a great Hero. If anything I would definitely be the liability between the two of us but I'm really working hard to get better!" The practically growling pair a few feet away were aware that their companion was talking to them but they were so engrossed in trying to intimidate one another that they missed his actual words. No matter. They could always ask him over sandwiches.

Minutes later they all found themselves in a field that was only used by the neighborhood kids to play in after school. Being that there were still a few hours left before the young students would be released it was a prime location for a controlled fight. As the two more aggressive members of the group began to battle the youngest and calmest costumed Hero watched on.

"Do you see how much better he is than you? Look at that control. He's had years to practice with his quirk. He doesn't need you. It's you who needs him. You can't even sleep properly let alone control this power that isn't even yours to begin with. He told you to make it your own but instead you let it take you over. So weak."

Izuku checked the group's surroundings searching for the sources of the strange voice that sounded so familiar. He couldn't pinpoint who it sounded like but he knew he'd heard it before and recently From what they were saying it HAD to be somebody that knew him well but no one other than his lifelong companion knew of his sleeping issues. Even at that the blonde didn't have the full picture.
