"Samuel don't go doing something stupid!" Carla cries but Samuel doesn't turn back
He runs outside, slamming the door behind him
We all get up to go running after him
By the time we all get outside
Samuel has somehow already pinned the boy down on the ground and is beating him up
"Samuel stop!" Carla cries and turns around crying
But Samuel doesn't stop
Travis runs towards Samuel and gets him off of the guy while Samuel tries to resist
Somehow he has Jake's phone and he smashes it against the floor
Travis tells him something inaudible to us and Samuel come towards us and hugs Carla who backs away and storms back inside
Once Jake has gotten off the ground, Travis turns back to him and punches him again, knocking him back down before coming to hug me and calm down my crying mess
Jake gets up and runs inside his car, speeding off immediately.
We all walk back inside with Carla, who's crying on the couch
"Babe I'm sorry, I had to..." Samuel tells Carla
"No, you didn't, I told you specifically not to go out there, because there's better ways to solve this, if Travis hadn't been here you would've killed him" Carla responds, refusing to even let Samuel hold her hand
"Carlis I was just mad, he hurt Kas, I needed to defend her"
"So you'd rather us lose you huh?"
"Babe I-"
"Alex is here, call me when you're not making any irrational decisions" she says getting up from the couch to leave with her sister
"Carla, please just hear me out, don't leave"
"Bye Samuel, call me whenever you stop being so childish" she says and walks out the door
Tree pulls me aside, since she doesn't think its appropriate to talk with everyone with everything happening
"Hey, I was able to write down his license plates since Samuel and Travis slowed him down, I've alerted the police, they should be able to get his address from those and if he's not home, they know what car to look out for, they're probably going to send out an amber alert if he tries to get away, if he crosses any check points, police will be alerted"
"Thank you!" I say crying and hugging her "why did you do all this? I fired you"
"Because you're still my friend, and i don't care that you fired me, I'm still going to do what's right and get that guys where he needs to be for Kassies sake"
"Thank you!" I say crying, still hugging her
"It's no problem tay"
"Do you want your job back?" I chuckle
"I would love that" she chuckles and we go back into the living room with Samuel and Travis
"I'm going to go get Kas" Samuel says getting up from the couch
"She's asleep"
"I don't care, she's coming home, with me since I can't trust you to co-parent her"
"Samu, that's on me, let her sleep, she's had a long day"
"No, I can't trust you Tay, she's coming with me" he says and goes upstairs
A few minutes later, Kas comes down I can tell she's still sleepy, walking beside her dad
"What's going on?" She asks rubbing her eyes
"We're leaving, come on"
"Dad, I want to go back to bed"
"No we're going home, come on"
Kas nods "where's Carla?"
"We'll talk later, come on, we have to go"
"No, where's Carla?"
"Kas let's go! Carla's with her sister, come on" Samu tells her and Kas nods
"Bye baby" I say and try to go hug her but Samuel takes her hand and they leave
I'm mad
Mostly at myself
Samuel might've been right, if i would've spoke up sooner, then all this might've been prevented.
I walk over to the table and in a moment of rage, grab the wine bottle sitting there and smash it against the wall.
"You're okay baby" Travis says hugging me tightly "it's okay" he says kissing my head
He sits me on the couch while I calm down
"Hey, I've got to go, if you need anything just call me okay?" Tree says to me
I nod "keep me updated if you get any updates"
"I will" she assures me
"Come on babe, let's get you to bed, it's been a long day" Travis says and we both walk in to my bedroom
"I'm just so mad" I admit
"It's okay, he hurt Kas, you get to be mad"
"The thing is, I'm mostly mad at myself, I should've told Samuel I knew"
"Hey, I was here when you found out remember? You were really mad at her, you lashed out, and yeah you should've told him, because he's her father and he deserves to know, but what he said about it being your fault is not true, you've been looking for him since that day, you even hired a private investigator, it's not your fault okay?"
I nod "maybe I just need her to have security with her at all times now"
"You and Sam can talk about that later okay? Now get some sleep"

It's been two days since I've heard from Sam or Kas, since she left her phone here.
I went yesterday to check up on her but Samuel wouldn't open the door for me.
He texted this morning to meet him at his house since Kas had asked for us.
I pull in to the driveway at the same time Carla does.
She looks exhausted, she looks like she's spent the past two days crying
"Hey you okay?"
She nods " yeah, I will be"
"Well if you need someone to talk to, I'm here okay?"
"Thank you" she says and opens the door to her house
"Carla, babe"
"I'm not here because of you, I'm here for Kas" she tells him
