I wake up late as I stayed up thinking about Diego last night and I go downstairs

I'm still tired but I know my mom is here because it's Sunday morning

"Hi baby! Mom says as I come in to the living room and stands up to hug me

"Hi" I say still a bit sleepy

"Hi Travis" I say waving and sit next to my dad "where's Carla?"

"She's sleeping" dad chuckles

"What time did you two come home? I stayed up late and you two never came, I fell asleep before you guys showed up"

"Not till like three"

"Are you serious? And you get mad that I come home at one?"

"We're adults, we get to do whatever we want" dad chuckles

"I thought you guys were just going for dinner"

"We took a detour for some drinks after, that's why she's still in bed, shes hungover" dad laughs "so let her rest" he says kissing my head

"But I had something to tell her"

"I'm sure it can wait" dad smiles

"Baby, I'm right here, you can tell me" mom says

"Sorry, it's more of a Carla thing" I say and she nods but I can tell it hurts her a little which i definitely didn't intend

"I'm going to get started on breakfast" dad says

"I'll help you" Travis says following dad, I think he just wanted to leave me alone with mom

Mom gets up from her seat and sits next to me, putting her arm around me

"How was your little date?" She says smirking a little

"It was not a date- how do you know?"

"Paparazzi pictures are all over Twitter, I'm sorry baby, I wish they would leave you alone" she says bringing me closer to her

"It's okay" I nod

"So how was your date?"

"It was not a date!" I smile "we were just hanging out"

"So you mean to tell me that you 'hanging out' with the boy who's been in love with you for years ALONE, who sent you flowers on your birthday in a different state, in a fancy restaurant, was not a date?" She teases

"Exactly, we were just hanging out"

"Just admit it,you were on a date"

"Fine, yes it was a date" I smile

"And I'm taking by that smile it went well?"

"Yeah it was great, he's really sweet"

"I'm so happy for you baby" she smiles "why didn't you tell me?"

"Well you needed some space, I know you weren't feeling really well, are you better?"

"Yes hun, I'm much better I just needed some time to assimilate the situation, but I'm all good now"

"I'm glad you're feeling better mom"

"Me too" she says kissing my head "hun, I know you deserve to spend some time with your dad and Carla, but would you come home tomorrow afternoon? Jason and Kylie are visiting they get here Tuesday morning, and apparently Wyatt's been asking for you since Easter , she even cried cause you left without saying goodbye" she chuckles

"Sure" I smile "but I have plans on Wednesday so I-"

"Plans?"

"Yeah"
