"Kas?" I ask quietly

Where did she go?

I walk down the hallway, wondering where my little brat went, I'm worried about her

I see the light on in my music room, I probably forgot to turn it off, I was going in there anyway but I need to find Kas first

As I walk past the music room, I see the door slightly open, the rooms supposed to be sound proof, since I needed it to be for times like this at three in the morning, so I wouldn't wake up my daughter

However since the door was slightly open, I could hear the faint sound of the piano from inside

I don't open the doors just peek through the small crack between the door and the frame

Kas is sitting at the piano playing and I can't help but smile, no matter how much she denies it, she's so much like me.

I stay there looking at her for a few minutes and I even take my phone out and record her, she hasn't done this in a while.

"You're just like your momma aren't you" I chuckle going in to the room as she goes through her notebook and I see her jump at my voice

"Mom, you scared me!" She says placing a hand over her heart and she breaths slightly heavier

"Sorry! Didn't mean to baby"

"Sorry for coming in here, I just-"

"It's okay, you know I don't mind, what were you playing"

"Nothing" she says closing her notebook "just playing around with it, I couldn't sleep, are you going to write?"

"Yeah I woke up with the urge to, i couldn't find you, i didn't expect you to be here"

"Yeah i couldnt sleep and i got bored so i decided to come down here" she says and gets up from the piano so i can sit

"Mom?"

"What's wrong baby?"

"I'm sorry they leaked your album, I know how hard you worked"

"I know baby, it sucks but it's okay, it'll be out in less than 24 hours and the swifties are making sure they report anyone sharing it, are you feeling a little better?"

"Yeah" she nods "can I stay while you-"

"You know you always can" I giggle and give her cheeks a kiss "you hadn't played in a while, you know whatever you were playing was gorgeous?"

She shrugs "I was just playing around with it"

I just stare at how gorgeous this girl is, I don't think she knows just how much i love her

Mom and I went to bed really late last night, I was hoping to get up before her but she had won me to it, she wasn't next to me in bed

Which meant one thing

Breakfast

It's not that I'm afraid to eat, I'm afraid to look at myself the way I did yesterday, and I know I can't starve myself, but i know with the mom I have that would be hard to do anyway.

I know she'll be on top of me so that I'll eat

I go downstairs and find mom making breakfast, she's already showered and changed out of her pajamas and into a little white dress
