It's Easter today and I woke up extra early to set up for my daughter
She may be sixteen but I'm never letting go of these little traditions.
I line up little plastic eggs filled with her favorite candies from her door all the way downstairs to the living room when I placed her Easter basket
The Easter baskets the only thing that's changed a little, instead of toys, it includes some of the stuff she likes now
I put in a pink Stanley cup, some makeup, new rare beauty blushes since those are her favorite, some new books, since she's my little bookworm, gift cards and some new Birkenstock sandals in pink.
I hear my daughters door open and I stay downstairs as I see her collect the little eggs
"I'm 16 mom" she says chuckling as she reaches the last step where I am and hugs me
"I don't care, you'll always be my baby" I say hugging her back and we go to the living room where her basket is
"Oh my god thank you mom" she says reading the backside of the books
"Sorry if those books are a little weird, Travis picked them out" I chuckle and she smiles
"Have you decided if you want to come with me and Travis or stay with your dad and Carla?"
"I think I'll come with you" she says
I'm extremely happy that she wants to come with me but I try not too smile too much because I also don't want to her feel bad about leaving her dad
"Alright go change out of those pajamas, we're about to leave" I tell her and she nods
"Kas before we leave I have something for you" trav says and hands her a basket
Kas chuckles
Thank you Travis" she says and hugs him

"What are you watching?" Trav asks Kas and I on the plane as we watch a movie on her ipad
"The Selena movie" Kas tells her
"Which one?" He asks
"The Selena one" Kas repeats
"No, which one? She has a ton of movies"
Kas and I look at him confused
"Yeah you guys said you're watching the Selena movie, your friend Selena has a lot of movies"
"Not that Selena" Kas chuckles "the movie about Selena the singer, today marks 29 years since she passed away, but Selena was named after her if that makes you feel any better" she chuckles at trav
"Kas, you know my niece Wyatt is really excited to meet you? More than Taylor herself" he smiles at Kas
"Me? Why?"
"She likes watching your TikToks"
"Isn't she like four? Why is she On TikTok?"
"Well she was sitting with Kylie watching videos one day and one of your video showed up on her for you page and Kylie told her who you were and now she requests to watch your videos all the time"
