Rachel Sandoval and her big brother Darry have been through quite a lot. They were abused by their father and was left by their mother. Now that Darry turned 18, he has full custody of his 15 year old sister. He's developed this over protective pers...
March 29th, 2020 Rachel's p/v I woke up to a text from Jacob saying that he printed out a bunch of fliers for the donation drive. He wants to hang them all over the neighborhood. Joining him is purely professional work, I doubt we're going to have conversations about ourselves. But if my mind does wonder then there's no need to feel guilty. Why does Tyler not like Jacob?
Enough of that, I need to get ready. Outfit is picked out: white crop top, black tank top over it, dark blue mom jeans, black docs, heart silver belt, and silver star ring. Mary told me her lazy day outfits in freshman year were tank tops over crop tops. I'll turn the concept into a going out outfit.
Awww, Tyler posted a picture of him at Disney.

I'm not allowed to comment or like his post, these rules are heartbreaking. Whose idea was this again? Both of ours. I wanted him to have fun while not worrying about me. He wanted to take a break from his life in Maryland and focus on advancing his Broadway career. This workshop will look good on his applications. I have yet to find a reason to keep these rules for when I go, though.
Shit, I missed my bus. This is what I get for debating whether I should wear the lettermen's jacket Tyler gave me. What would make this all better is if there was a do-over, but with him by my side. There's no harm in asking him if he wants to get involved with the kids at the hospital. If he says no, I'll completely understand. The worst he can say is no. It would be nice...
Darry's p/v "Yes! Coffee for me!" Bowie sits next to Tyler. "They made an extra pot just for you." I say. "Just for me. You know what the very last thought I had before I fell asleep?" "If leg enhancements come with side effects?" "You're not funny. Anyway, it's crazy how we're all friends-" "Not me and Tyler-" "Because in middle school we wouldn't have been friends." "That's because I was a freshmen when you were in middle school. And you were in elementary when I was in middle school. See how I'm left out?" "Let's say we're all the same age. You guys agree that we wouldn't have been friends." "Why not?" Tyler asks. "For starters, I was unpopular. Small friend group, nerdy, uptight-" "Woah, you were uptight? I mean you were definitely more serious when we were first met, but I can't picture you being uptight." "Erica and the choir broke got me out of my shell. I was your average nerd who tried being the class clown but I was never able to leave that shell I was in. Band kid shell." "Well your band kid phase is a well known fact, but were you actually unpopular? You're incredibly outgoing now." "Again, I broke out of my shell. Started wearing contacts, quit band, got a girlfriend, and made all new friends. I'm thankful for this school year." "Me too. In middle school I was kind of a womanizer." I look at Tyler. "Were you now." "Don't act like you weren't one yourself. I've changed, Darry. I never cheated on anyone, just went out with a lot of girls. I don't know, I was also very pretentious. You're right, Bowie, we wouldn't have been friends." "No, I was pretentious too. Made complete 180s. I'm a party animal and you're a softie." "You're not wrong." "You too, Darry. Party animal turned softie." I shrug. "Maybe." "Be right back, more coffee for me." "You're not finished with your cup-" "Before it runs out!" Bowie runs to the drinks table. Cool. Tyler and I have to sit in silence now, again.
