Chapter Twenty-four

(4 Months Later)
Danielle's P.O.V.
Well, today is the day that I'm going wedding dress shopping. I have all 6 of my bridesmaids coming with me, also my mom, both of my grandmothers, and LeClaire are coming too. My appointment is at 10, it's 8:45, and I'm about to leave the hotel to go have breakfast with Kandice. I give Luke a quick kiss, then take a taxi downtown, to where Kandice and I are going to meet. I enter the restaurant,and see Kandice sitting at a table in the corner. I go over and take a seat across from her. I order a coffee, and some waffles. We sit there and start to catch up on things since I haven't seen her in four months. She says to me "So how ready are you to find the dress?' I smile and say "Really ready, it just makes it even more real that I am getting married in two months. I am so happy that you and all of the other girls could be here to help me pick out a dress." She smiles at me and says "Hun, you knew that I wouldn't miss out on this. " I smile at her, and go back to eating my breakfast. Occasionally making a comment on the story that she is telling me, or nodding my head every once in a while. Once we finish breakfast, we take a taxi to Kleinfelds, where we're meeting the rest of the girls. We get inside the door, and all I can see is white. I turn to Kandice and say "is this real?" She laughs a little bit, nodding her head. Then one of the workers approaches us, and asks if we have an apointment. I tell her yes, but we're waiting for the rest of the girls, that's when I hear my mom say "Well, you don't have to wait anymore" I turn around giving her and everyone else a hug. Then we're taken to a special area, that's big enough for all 12 of us. Then they let us go look through all of the dresses. I like ballgowsns, but my mom isn't really big on them, so I pick out a few that will make her happy too. The girls help me pick some out also. Once we've found about 10, I'm taken back to a dressing room, where I change into a robe. The first dress I try on is a gorgeous princess dress, that is strapless, has lots of glitter, and is really poofy. I like it, but I don't love it. We show the girls, and they agree with me, that it's not the one. I try on about 5 more dresses, when I get into one that Megan, the worker who is heping me, had picked out for me. She said that no one that is with me has seen it, so it will be a total surprise for them. She tells me to get into it, with my back facing the mirror, so I can't see myself in it quite yet. Once I turn around, I start crying. It's gorgeous, it has lace sleeves, along with lace covering my chest, a little beaded belt, tulle, it falls all the way to the ground, with lace on the skirt, it's perfect. I think that this is the one. Megan,tells me that it looks perfect. I smile at her, and she tells me that she is going to go tell everyone to close their eyes, so it will be a surprise. She comes back to get me, once I get up on the pedistol, and face everyone, she tells them to open their eyes. My mom, LeClaire,Kandice, and both of my grandmas start crying. They all tell me that this is the one. I smile and say "I know, I'm just really happy that you guys agree. It honestly fits perfect, I don't think I need any alterations, so it will definetly be ready in time for the wedding" my mom gets up and hugs me, and keeps telling me how beautiful I look. I tell Megan, that this is the one. I give her a hug, and thank her for picking out this dress, and I pay for the dress. Next stop is to pick out bridesmaids dresses, we leave Kleinfelds, and we head back to the hotel, so that way we don't have to have the dress with us all day. I follow Kandice up to her room, since she is going to take it home with her, so that way Luke doesn't try and look at it. Next we all go have lunch in the hotel restaurant. After that we go look for bridesmaid dresses.Once we get into the store, we go to the section with the dark purple dresses. I fall in love with a long dress, that has a sweetheart neckline, is strapless, with a little bit of rushing. Lucky for us, they actually have a whole bunch of the dresses in all different sizes. So I give all of the girls the dress, and they all go off to try them on. Once they're all out of the fitting room, I can see that the dress fits them all pefectly, and complements their skin tones. I order the dresses, and we are having them sent down to Nashville, so that way they will be there for the fitting.

Luke's P.O.V.
This is going to be difficult, I don't get to see Danielle in her wedding dress, for another 2 months. I know that she is going to give it to one of the girls,so I can't peek at it. She knows me so well. Today while the girls are dress shopping, I'm taking the guys to get our suits. Danielle told me that the suits have to be light tan, so that way they will go with the bridesmaid dresses. All of the guys and I enter the store, and they're all goofing around, while I go up to the desk, and ask for someone to help me find the right suits. The lady that I ask to help us, she tells me to follow her, and I get all of the guys to follow behind me. She shows me the tan suits that they have to offer, I pick out the one that Danielle and I looked at online, and then now comes the big question. Bow ties, or long ties? Danielle told me that I get to decide on that. So, Bow ties it is. Next we all get measured for our suits, I'm buying mine, but the guys are all renting theirs. I tell her that they need to be sent down to Nashville, because that is where the wedding is going to be. Once we all finish, the guys and I go out to lunch. Once we're done, we all go back to the hotel. I go get ready for the show. I gave Danielle the night off, Kerrie told me that she would cover for her, so that way she can spend time with her family and friends. It feels strange not to see Danielle on the side of the stage while I'm performing.
