"I don't want to come between you and Rick." Spencer stated.

"There's nothing going on between Rick and I." I replied.

"I wish there was something between us." He replied.

I smiled before his lips connected with mine.

He pulled away before opening my door.

"I'd love to stay but, I've gotta get home and help mom." He mumbled.

"That's okay." I replied.

-

"We're going to start." Deanna declared.

"Can we wait? There's still people coming." Maggie replied.

"Glenn, Rick." I added.

"We're going to start," Deanna replied, "It's already dark."

"We're going to talk about what happened. Not the fight. Not what precipitated it. We're dealing with that." She began, looking around at the group of people.

"We're going to talk about one of our constables, Rick Grimes." She declared.

I looked to Maggie who looked back to me.

"We're going to talk about how he had a pistol he stole from the armory, about how he pointed it at people," Deanna continued, "And we're going to talk about what he said."

"I was hoping he'd be here." She sighed.

"Maggie said he's coming." I snapped.

"I'm sure he'll be here, and I'm sure we can work this all out." Maggie added.

"Rick just wants his family to live. He wants all of you to live. Rick Grimes saved my life over and over." I stated.

"There's terrifying people out there, and he rescued me from them." I replied.

"People like me, people like us need people like him." One of the Alexandrian's declared.

"I know what happened last night was scary, and I'm sure he's sorry for that." Maggie said, "But maybe we should listen to what he was saying." I added.

"Simply put, there is a vast ocean of shit you people don't know shit about." Abraham declared.

"Rick knows every fine grain of said shit and then some." I replied.

"My father respected Rick Grimes; Rick is a father, too." Maggie stated.

"He's a man with a good heart who feels the things he does, the things he has to do." I declared.

"And all of us who were together before this place, no matter when we found each other, we're family now." I continued.

"Rick started that, and you won't stop it. You can't stop it, and you don't want to." Maggie added.

"This community, you people, you want to be a part of it, too." I added.

"Before we hear from anyone else, I-- I would like to share something in the spirit of transparency." Deanna replied.

"Father Gabriel came to see me the day before yesterday and he said our new arrivals can't be trusted, that they were dangerous, that they would put themselves before this community," She began, "And not one day later, Rick seemed to demonstrate all the things Father Gabriel said." She replied.
