Samantha's POV

"I didn't mean to wake you." I mumbled.

"It's okay, you all right?" Rick asked.

I nodded.

"How bad was it?" He asked.

"Pretty bad. It felt so real." I replied, talking about my nightmare.

"Just try and go back to sleep, I'm right here." He replied.

I lied back down, my head hitting the pillow and I turned over so my back was facing him.

Right before I dosed off his arm laced over my waist and he pulled me into him.

-

I opened my eyes, breathing in Rick's cologne from his shirt.

"You're finally up." He mumbled.

"How long have you been up?" I asked.

"About ten minutes." He answered.

"And you didn't wake me?" I asked, moving away from his chest.

"I'm going out to find him, I might be gone a few hours or a few days." He replied.

"How are you going to find him?" I inquired.

"What if he's here?" I interrogated.

"He almost took someone very special to me- away, and he's not getting away with it. I don't care what it takes, I'm finding him." He answered, his face inches from mine.

"Can I go?" I asked.

"No, you're still hurt." He replied.

"So are you. You have burns all over your arms." I mumbled.

"But I can walk, you can't." He replied.

"What if I can never walk again? What if the feeling doesn't come back like Mary said?" I asked.

"It will. Deanna said they had to use those often when people would freak out." He replied.

"Please don't go alone." I begged.

"I'll be fine." He mumbled, his eyes locked with mine.

I looked away before I caught myself wanting to kiss him.

I raised up, and stood up for about two seconds before falling to the floor.

"Shit, don't do that!" Rick hissed, running over to me.

He picked me up off of the floor before laying me back on the bed.

"Sorry, I forgot I couldn't walk." I joked.

"How do you make everything positive?" He asked.

"I don't know." I replied.

-

"Please be careful." I whispered, wrapping my arms around Rick's neck.

I finally began getting feeling back in my legs, but not enough to walk.

"I will." He replied, placing a hand on my low back.

"Son of a dick, just kiss her already," Abraham stated.

Rick and I both ignored him and I sat back down in the wheelchair I was using temporarily.

-

"It's been a week, and he isn't back. If I was out there he would be looking for me. I'm going." I argued with Abraham.
