As I woke up, I decided that today I'm going to call Cate and tell her that I am willing to go to the counselling session. Although I'm terrified to face Rory, I know I'll be safe and Joe will be waiting outside. Anyway, like Joe said, it may help me cope with everything too, although I'd like to think I have been coping well with everything too.
"Mm, good morning," Joe mumbled as he woke up, stretching.
"Good morning," I yawned, sitting up in bed.
Joe moved closer to me and wrapped his arms around my stomach.
"It's weird to think that hopefully there's a baby in there," Joe smiled, stroking my stomach.
"I know, and it's neither of ours," I giggled lightly.
"Uh! That is weird," Joe laughed lightly.
"I think I've decided that I'm going to call Cate today and tell her I'm willing to go to one of the sessions," I said quietly.
"That's great, baby," Joe smiled.
He moved his hand under my shirt and just rested it on my stomach as we both laid there.
"Mama!" Noah cried through the baby monitor.
"I'll go get him," Joe volunteered, getting out of bed and getting Noah.
"Aren't you cold?" I asked as he walked back through, wearing only his underwear.
"Not really," He shrugged.
"Mama!" Noah smiled, crawling on the bed to me.
"Hi Noah," I smiled.
He crawled and sat on my lap and played with my hands.
"Is Noelle still asleep?" I asked.
"I don't know. I didn't check on her," Joe shrugged, "I'll go see."
Joe left the room again and I heard him through the baby monitor as he went into Noelle's room and I heard her mumble something as she woke up.
"Come here darling," Joe hummed.
"Good morning 'Elle," I smiled as Joe carried her and laid her between us on the bed.
"Mummy," Noelle smiled.
The kids laid with us for a short while until we decided to get up and get breakfast. After feeding the kids and getting them washed and dressed, I went into Joe's and I's room to call Cate.
"Hello?" Cate answered.
"Hi Cate, it's Minx."
"Minx, lovely to hear from you!"
"Thank you. Uhm, so I was just calling to say that, well, yeah, I'll come along to one of Rory's counselling sessions if that's what's best," I said a bit shakily.
"Aw! That's wonderful to hear Minx! Rory has his sessions every other day, so there's one today and then another the day after tomorrow. Either one works," Cate explained.
"I can probably just make it to the one today, yeah? What time is it at?"
"Two o'clock," Cate said sweetly.
"Okay," I nodded.
Cate gave me any other information I would need like where it is, what office it's in and how to get there and so forth.
"I'm so grateful, thank you Minx! I know this must be hard for you," Cate said.
"It's alright. See you later," I said before hanging up.
