Elsie's POV
There we were, sitting at a light while waiting for Ari to choose a song, when I looked over and saw somebody staring at me through the window, his face pressed up against the glass. "Roll the window down." I stifled a laughed and watched as his window rolled down too. "Fancy meeting you here." Ian wriggled his eyebrows, and I sighed. "You dingus."
The back window rolled down too, revealing Theo. "What's up?" he asked Cider, who rolled down her own window. "The sky, idiot." Cider smirked, and Theo laughed huskily. Then, the next song came on, blaring loudly. We laughed and all started singing.
"They send me away to find them a fortune; a chest filled with diamonds and go-old. The house was awake, with shadows and monsters. The hallways, they echoed and groaned. I sat alone in bed 'till the morning. I'm crying, 'They're coming for me'."
"Halsey!" Tanner cheered, and we stopped singing along as the chorus began. "You like Halsey?" Cider asked.
"Hell yeah!" The four exclaimed, and we laughed. The red light flickered to green, and we sped away. After the song, we changed it to Tag, You're It. And you know what happened? Those damn boys sang along. They sang along, knowing fully well that we weren't keeping our windows rolled down for them. It's funny how one of the song's lyrics is "rollin' down your tinted window. Drivin' next to me real slow". It's almost ironic——heck, it is ironic.
"Runnin' through the parking lot, he chased me and he wouldn't stop. Tag, you're it. Tag, tag, you're it." Utica flipped them off with her fingers and shook her head from side to side when we sang to title of the song over and over. We turned the corner and pulled in front of them so they couldn't sing anymore.
We eventually pulled into a parking lot and came face to face with Freddy's, the best burger joint in the world. Utica licked her lips and stepped out of the car. "Thanks guys. I seriously owe you, I don't deserve this."
"Shut up and let me buy you something." I told her playfully harsh and she laughed, walking into the restaurant. Outside was a red Ferrari and I wondered, Why the hell would somebody with a bloody Ferrari go to such a 'disgusting' place? Cos to be honest, Freddy's instant the cleanest, but once we stepped inside, we glared and gaped.
"I'm gonna go take a sh*t, I'm scared for my life right now." Utica said, backing up.
"What the hell, Voldemort?" Ari hissed, standing in front of Ui.
I ignored them and walked up to the cashier with Cider. "Damn, Daniel." I smirked as Daniel tipped his black baseball hat that read Freddy's stitched in thick, graceful red thread. A low growl could be heard from the other side of the restaurant, and Cider yelled (since it was only us in there), "Damnit, Insulted Cardboard, grow a pear!" Which I have no idea what it means. "Uh...what?" Daniel and I blinked in unison.
"Ian thinks you like her." Cider said quieter than ever. Not even Ui and Ari could hear. Daniel burst out laughing and looked over at Ian, who was raising his eyebrow suggestively. "I'm a taken bacon. Now what can I get you?"
"I'll have a double combo with everything on it." Cider smirked. "I'll have a double combo with cheese and pickles only." Ari told him as the two 'hitchhikers' walked up to stand next to us. "Double combo, meat and bread only." I blushed. I'm severely picky. Cheese is disgusting! It's too greasy and cheesy and slimy!
"Double combo with everything but cheese on it." Utica smiled. She didn't seem like the type to hate cheese, though. "Do you not like cheese?" I whispered to her.
"Not really. String cheese is okay depending on the brand, though."
"Yes!" We high-fived as Cider placed a twenty and a five on the counter. "Whaa—Cider! You don't have to do that!" Ui exclaimed, fishing around in her purse for some money. "It's okay. I got paid today." Cider smiled, getting change back from Daniel.
"Well...thanks." Ui sighed, taking the cup Daniel set out for her. We all took our cups (courtesy of the combo), and went over to the side machine. I chose rootbeer, and to my surprise, everyone else got rootbeer. We laughed and 'clinked' our paper cups together, cheers-ing to life. We all sat down, but our number was called as soon as we did, so Cider and Ari chuckled and went to go bring back the two trays with our burgers and fries.
"So how'd you bozos get here so fast?" Cider glared, talking to the people in the booth behind her. "Didn't you see the car we own?" Theo's husky voice chuckled, sending shivers down my spine. Gosh, his voice just commands and demands. It's scary.
"You own that damn Ferrari?!" Cider gaped. They all laughed and I gulped. I saw Ui and Ari exchanging glances, and then they got up (Ui crawled over me to get out). "Where are you going?" I asked hesitantly.
"I'm getting the crowbar in my glovebox my mom keeps their to beat up any perverts or stalkers if they try anything." Ari said coldly, but her face held a humorous grin. "Maybe it'll also beat up perverts's car."
"No!" Tanner and Hunter exclaimed, shooting up out of their seats. Ui and Aria burst out laughing, clutching their stomachs. But honestly, I think they weren't joking. They sat back down (yes, Ui climbed over me again, even though we I could've just slid down and switched our food) and bit into their burgers.
"This'll be fun."
Yes, I know this chap is short. But honestly, there's always one chappity chap chap that's short. It was kind of on purpose, because I wanted that little Train moment: THIS IS NOT A DRIVE BY-I-I-I-I-I
Also, hit the star down there if ya like Melanie Martinez, Halsey, Marina and The Diamonds, Fall Out Boy, and more Alternative Rock/Pop! Cuz this is my life. I don't listen to JB or Selena, or any of that rap sh*t (no offense, some of it's good). But seriously, not trying to be offensive. I'm just not into that kind of thing.
Anyways, enough rambling. Chapters will go back to being 2,000 words ^-^
