I posted a one short a little while ago called 'Baby Daddy' and this is the sequel to that. So if you haven't read that one or you want to refresh your memory, read that one first before reading this one :) Anyway, I hope you enjoy!

"Are you sure Y/N? I could just let the back-up driver do this one," Max asks me, but I shake my head.

"No, just go Max! I'll be fine. Besides, you already did qualifying, which went really well, and the race is right here in Monaco."

"But today is your due date!" Max tries to argue, but I'm having none of it.

"No Max, you're going out there and you're going to drive a great race! I want you to do the best you can."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, I'm sure. I'll be fine, I promise."

"Okay, okay. I'll go," Max gives in, making me smile.

"Good. And you better make it one of your best races ever."

"I'll try," Max promises and I know he means it, I can tell by the look in his eyes.

And boy did he try. Even though he didn't start on the first row, he managed to overtake some people and soon enough he was in 1st position, making me very proud. Sure, he'd been in 1st position before, but this time is extra special. Not only because it's the race in Monaco, but also because today might be the day he becomes a dad.

"How are you Y/N?" my best friend Emma asks as she walks into the living room, where I'm watching the race from the couch.

"I'm good. I wish I could be at the track though. I want to be there when he wins."

"Y/N, today is your due date. I don't think it's a good idea if you're in a F1 garage right now."

"Yeah, yeah I know. Doesn't mean I wish it was differently."

"I understand."

"This could be a really special day, you know? His first win in Monaco, may-," I start but I stop talking when I feel it become wet between my legs. At that moment, I know it's time.

"Emma, it's time," I tell my best friends and her eyes widen.

"Alright, let's go. I'll get your bag, you go down to the car."

"But Max..."

"Forget about Max for now, he'll win the race without you as well. You need to focus on you right now."

"But he needs to know!"

"I'll make sure he knows, just make sure you get to the car," Emma nods as I start making my way to the door of Max's apartment. Emma runs into our room to get my bag whilst she's on the phone to someone. Probably someone from Max's team.

Soon enough, Emma and I are on the way to the hospital. I'm not in that much pain yet and I'm able to still think clearly.

"Did you make sure Max knows?" I ask Emma, who is navigating through the busy streets of Monaco.

"I called someone from his team and he promised me he'd make sure Max knows."

"How was he doing?"

"I don't know, didn't ask," Emma says, keeping her eyes on the road. I get out my phone and go to a live report of the race.

"He's still in the lead. Do you think they've already told him over the radio?"

"I have no idea Y/N."

"I want him to be there when our baby is born, do you think he'll make it?"

"I don't know, but I do know that he'll do everything he can to be there," Emma says as she pulls over in front of the hospital. She gets out of the car and runs around to help me get out. She grabs my bag before leading me into the hospital.
