As it's getting closer to 7, which is when Lewis is supposed to pick me up, I realize something quite important that kind jeopardizes the whole date. Lewis actually knows nothing about me. He doesn't have my number, he doesn't know in which hotel I'm staying. He doesn't even know my name! How on earth is he supposed to pick me up?

I sigh and sit down on my bed, disappointed that this date won't be happening. I stare at the one earring that's still in my hand, as I was in the middle of putting them in when I realized this important fact. I decide to wear my favorite earrings, which says quite a lot as I hardly ever wear earrings. I wanted to put in effort, I wanted this date to be successful. This has to be the quickest time a date has failed.

Suddenly, there's a knock on my door. I get up and open the door. To my surprise, Lewis is standing in front of me, a big smile on his face.

"Hey," he greets me as he holds out roses for me.

"H-hey," I stammer surprised.

"What's wrong? Is it the flowers? You're not allergic, are you?"

"No, no I'm not. It's just, how did you get here?"

"By car? You're not some environment freak, are you?"

"I work in Formula 1," I say, making Lewis blush slightly, which looks incredibly cute.

"Right, sorry. I'm just nervous I guess."

"That's okay, so am I."

"But what do you mean, how did I get here?"

"Well quite literally actually. I didn't tell you my name, my number or the hotel I'm staying at. How did you find me?"

"Oh that! Well, it turns out your bosses like me," Lewis says, a slight smirk on my face.

"Oh really?"

"Yeah, really. So, Y/N, are you ready to go on our date?"

"Yes, I am," I say, smiling at the way Lewis pronounces my name. I turn around to grab my purse, which I had already laid down by the door and step outside, ready to go.

"Ehm, are you supposed to be wearing 1 earring?" Lewis asks, looking slightly confused. I blush as I realized I never actually put in my other earring.

"1 sec," I say before I hurry back inside. I quickly put in my other earring before stepping back out, where Lewis is patiently waiting with a smile on his face.

"You look beautiful by the way," he says as he holds out his arm. I grab his arm and together we head outside. His arm feels strong and immediately feel safe with him around.

"Thank you, you look really handsome too."

"Thank you," Lewis says as we reach his car. He opens the door on the passenger side and lets me get in. He closes the door and quickly walks around to get in himself.

"So, where are we going?" I ask curiously as Lewis starts driving.

"It's a surprise."

"But I wanna know."

"You'll have to wait until we get there," Lewis says, smiling as he sees the pout on my face. I glance over at him and study him as he drivers to wherever we're going. It's obvious he's comfortable behind the wheel, which makes a lot of sense. To my surprise, he isn't driving really fast or aggressive.

"Doesn't this feel really slow compared to driving on the track?" I ask curiously and Lewis briefly turns to look at me.

"No, not really. It's two different things really. On track, I'm in a different car and I'm in a different mindset. When I'm driving in a normal car, I'm not thinking about racing, I'm just driving. Besides, driving here isn't nearly as safe as driving on track, so I don't even want to drive really fast," Lewis explains and I nod, understanding what he's saying.
