50 - The Tribulation

"I told you to restrain yourself, you brat! " A deep and irritated voice bellowed.

"Old man! You have to believe me this time, I won't barge into the tower forc---" A dark-skinned handsome youth retorted trying to break the restriction array which is currently holding him from stepping out of the quarters.

"You told the same excuse back then... But then the servant had told me that you actually dared to trespass the Tower Master's quarters. " The man mockingly laughed. The man is naturally the Venerable headmaster.

"T-that is a different story! It was all in the past! You see, my wife out there might need his husband. " Theo gritted his teeth while pointing to a certain direction.

The headmaster rubbed his temple in annoyance. He's been trying to restrain the punk for the whole 3 weeks now. He was after all on a mission not to let Yulrir be disturbed while in seclusion.

"Brat!!! I know what you are thinking! And where the hell are you pointing at? It's not even in the direction of the Dragon Tower! You brat, how come were you able to survive with your horrible sense of direction? " The headmaster didn't know whether to laugh or to cry right now.

"W-Why are we talking about my sense of direction? Were you trying to change the topic, old man? " Theo shot back with his eyes narrowed.

The headmaster didn't reply and slumped his shoulders. He then released a deep breath.

"I told you, even if Yulrir had let you close last time, it is not good to push yourself to him. Wait for the other party to initiate the intimacy. He's a beta, he had his own pride and also you have to be careful being assertive on your way of doing things. Nobody wants a tyrant husband. " The headmaster explained in a solemn voice.

Theo didn't reply but bit his lip. He was an alpha, moreover, he was already past his mating age. He hasn't done any deed yet as he was trying to wait for Yulrir all along. Alphas tend to accumulate a lot of yang qi since their meridians are specially built for warriors. What is a yang qi? It is a type of qi that manifests the chaotic and violent part of the world qi. Similarly to the air we breathe, it may not be pure oxygen as there are other elements combined with it like the carbon dioxide and other gases. It is the same concept with World Qis. Alphas especially have more receptive meridians different from the betas and omegas. The reason why they are dominant in nature and also affected by alpha instinct is that their meridians are able to accumulate a lot of yang qi that directly stimulates their body and sexual desires. This is why an alpha can be considered as a moving time bomb. These excessive yang qis can be released via dual cultivation techniques or a normal intercourse. This is why many alphas search for a cultivation companion even if they are not bounded mates.

There are other cultivators who can control their desire by techniques which drives out the excess yang qi out of their body but it requires one to live in celibacy. Say, for example, our mighty venerable headmaster here. It might be the most boring thing to be when you are an alpha and even the hardest technique to cultivate especially when you finally found your true mate.

Theo had calmed down a little and was about to sit back when a loud thunderclap boomed out. The headmaster was similarly alarmed as well and frowned a little. The master and the disciple turned their head on the gigantic round window nearby and saw clumps of black cloud hovering to a certain direction. The headmaster's eyes widened as he realized something.

"That direction! " The headmaster gawked out.

"Tribulation clouds? " Theo frowned upon seeing the ominous clouds from afar. These tribulation clouds seem to be thicker than what had appeared on his tribulation back then.
Everyone at the Golden Dragon Academy was drawn onto the large black clouds. They can't help but look at the direction of the Dragon Tower with a widened eyes.
