Davina's pov

Me and Kol stare as our newborn daughter lies fast asleep in my arms, she's so small and perfect I can't believe she's here right in front of us and she's even better than I ever imagined "So beautiful" Kol mutters beside me his eyes on her completely refusing to move his gaze as if she would vanish if he took his eyes off her. We both look up as the door opens and Rebekah, Caroline, my parents, Klaus, Elijah and my aunt enter "shhh she's asleep" Kol whispers "it's a girl" Rebekah whispers with a smile on her face as she walks towards us "aww she's so adorable" Caroline coos as she stands next to Rebekah looking down at our baby girl "you delivered her?" My dad asks walking towards his gaze on us but his eyes linger a little longer on my baby "well sort of" Kol said with a slight chuckle "what do you mean sort of?" Dad questions "I turned my head for one moment and she popped herself out all on her own must've wanted help out her mommy" Kol says looking at me with adoration in his eyes "only your child would do that" Rebekah says making us all chuckle "she's perfect brother" Klaus says stepping forward with awe in his eyes as he stares at his niece sleeping soundly in my arms "she's beautiful" Elijah says moving to the other side of the bed so he could get a good view of her "she's tiny" my mom says all teary eyed as she looks at her granddaughter "she's so adorable I just want to hug her and never let go" Rebekah says reaching a hand out and gently stroking our daughters hair "no can do that's my job" Kol says with a smile "get a load of that hair geez how much hair does a newborn need" Klaus jokes making us all chuckle "she'll have beautiful long hair I can tell you that now" Rebekah says in awe of her niece "have you decided on a name for her?" Caroline asks me and Kol look at each other with smiles on our faces "yeah we have" Kol says "well what is it? I need to buy some dresses for this little girl?" Rebekah asks impatiently making us all chuckle "Neveah Rose Mikaelson" I say "Neveah is heaven spelled backwards" Kol explains "it's beautiful it suits her" Rebekah says "she really looks like she's from heaven too" Caroline says "perfect name for the littlest and purest warrior" Klaus says "I like the name it's unique" Elijah says

"So what was with all the crashing and banging downstairs? What happened?" Kol asks curiously as he now holds Neveah securely in his arms "we had an unexpected visitor" Elijah explains "who?" I ask was it one of those witches who tried to abduct me "there were more of those witches they had suspected you had been rescued and sort out to get you back" Klaus explains "how did they know where to find me?" I ask "must've followed us home" Elijah replies "why do they want me?" I ask "to sacrifice you for a ritual called the harvest" my mom says "wait? Wasn't that what got you killed?" I ask "yes" she answers "the only reason they came for you was because you're part of that coven through blood" my aunt says "my grandmother the woman who sentenced you to be sacrificed?" I asked looking at me my mom "yes but I don't know how this could've happened she never knew about you so how she suddenly knows about you now I have no idea" she replies "which is why me, your mother and aunt will be heading to New Orleans tonight in search of answers" my dad says "didn't you get the answer from the witches?" Kol asks "no we were unsuccessful the pesky witches refused to tell us anything other than they wanted to sacrifice you and your child" Klaus says clenching his fists Kol instinctively holds Neveah closer to him with one arm and wraps his other arm around my waist holding me closer to him "they ain't getting their hands on Neveah" I say gently grabbing hold of Neveah's right hand "they can take and sacrifice me all they want but they can't have her" I say looking at my baby girl she's so pure and oblivious to the cruelty that plagues this world and I want it to stay that way, no bitchy witches will taint my daughter's innocence no chance in hell "Davina" everyone scolds me at my words "what? I'd give my life for hers as you gave your life for mine" I say looking at my mom "that's not going to happen with you I won't let it you and Neveah will always have each other I won't let my granddaughter grow up without a mother like you did" my mom says teary eyed my dad takes her hand in his and squeezes it "things will be different this time you, Kol and Neveah are a family you need to stay together she needs both her parents in her life not one dead and the other alive it's not right for a child to grow up with just one parent the child grows up with a void in their hearts" my dad says "like I did" I say teary eyed at the memory of having that painful void in my heart during the years I was alone, my baby girl can't have that happen to her I don't want her to feel like that ever "I don't want that for her but I don't want and I won't let those assholes hurt her and taint her innocence" I say sniffling Kol rubs my side kissing my forehead comforting me "everything's going to be different we'll make sure of it" my mom says looking at me "we all will that little girl is precious and needs defending from the evil that threatens to destroy her light and innocence" Klaus says looking down at his niece once again "we need to get going if we want to get to New Orleans by tomorrow morning" aunt Josie says "we'll call you later to see how you're doing" my mom says leaning down to kiss my forehead and she gently kisses Neveah's forehead "night night sweetie" she whispers "once and if we find anything we'll call you" my dad says "okay be safe" I say as they leave "what a family you have" Caroline says "such a lucky girl" she adds "well I better start seeing to the dead bodies downstairs" Klaus says heading for the door "I'll give you a hand" Elijah says following after him "I need to clean the blood but I'll be back to see you in a bit" Rebekah says kissing Neveah's forehead before vamp speeding out the room "she really is beautiful congratulations" Caroline says "thanks Care" I say "you know if Damon saw her he would fall in love with her" she says Kol glares at her "he needs to gather up his shit first" he says I gently swat his shoulder "Kol no swearing in front of Neveah" I scold he grins kissing my forehead "sorry love" he apologises "he'll come around soon" Caroline says "hopefully" I say she gives me a small smile before exiting the room "well Neveah this is our home and our family we're tough, a little naughty at times and we're all completely nuts but you'll always have people to fight for you and protect you because you're so loved my little angel" Kol says stroking Neveah's little cheek I smile as my heart flutters god I love this man "we love you the most though" I say making Kol grin "that we do nobody can love you as much as me and your mommy do" he coos she starts wiggling and a little whimper escapes her tiny lips "I think she's hungry" I say noticing she keeps balling her hands into fists "ohhh mommy's first feed with baby" Kol says grinning I giggle and swat his shoulder as he gently passes Neveah to me, I pull down one side of my dress with Kol's help and I snap off my bra and bring Neveah close to my breast, I watch as her mouth opens searching for her food source and once she finds it she latches on and gently sucks drinking her milk "you look like a professional" Kol says "shush don't make me embarrassed" I say blushing "there's nothing embarrassing about breast feeding it's natural and I think it's beautiful" he says "why because a woman has her breasts out" I say "well yes but also because you really get to see the bond and love between a mother and her child" he says I look up at him and smile "I love you Daddy" I say smiling he grins "I love you too mommy" he says before giving me a quick kiss as I need to focus on feeding Neveah.
