4. Missed Calls

It's been about three days and I've been avoiding Geo. His calls, his text, his messages, him sending messages through friends, and any other type of contact.

Me, Meridith, and Carter went to the mall.

Brysen didn't want to go so we had Carter take us.

We had just came back from the mall. Me and Meridith gathered all of our bags and got out the car.

We walked up to the door and I waved saying, "Thanks Carter."

As I was saying that someone opened the door.

"Courtney," someone said hugging me like I got lost and finally made it back home. I recognized the smell and the voice. It was Geo.

"Why haven't you been returning my calls or text messages? What did I do? I've been stressing myself out. Why weren't you answering me?" Geo asked.

"Geo I know you see us with these heavy ass bags and you sitting there asking questions. Move out the way," I said.

"Sorry. Sorry," he said moving.

Me and Meridith went upstairs to put our bags down. She put her's In Brysen's room and I put mine in mine.

Someone knocked on my door.

"Who is it?" I asked.

"Meridith," she said.

"Come in," I say.

"Did you take my Lush bag?" She asked.

I looked around, "Oh yeah. I did. Sorry," I said handing it to her.

"Thanks you," she said.

Someone else knocked on the door and Meri got up to get it.

I pulled her arm back down, "That's Geo," I mouthed.

"What?" She said out loud.

I put my finger up to my lip telling her to shhh. She's not very good at reading lips.

I pulled out my phone and texted her.

Me: that's Geo

Meri: oh

Meri: how do u know

I looked at her like trust me.

"Babe. It's me Geo. We need to talk," Geo said.

I looked at Meridith like told ya.

Meri: does he know we're in here

Me: duh and watch this

I put my finger up and mouthed counting from 5 to 1

"5...4...3...2...1" I mouthed.

"Babe I heard you guys typing. I know you're in there," Geo said.

Me: see

Meri: that was amazing

Me: ik I kinda caught myself by surprise

Geo started knocking. I answered because if I didn't, he would have never stopped knocking.

"Welp looks like it's my time to go," Meridith said. She slipped in between me, the door, and Geo and walked down the stairs.

I turned to start putting my stuff away.

Geo grabbed my arm, "Hey. Hey, what's going on?"

"Oh, I'm putting my things away. Wanna help?" I asked.
