Not sure I ever posted this but I'll do it again. It was suppose to be a sci-fi

Placing the pot on the stove I give him my full explanation. "Prince, I am not..." Sighing in frustration I face all of my fears. Now was the time to be honest with him. "I'm not like you."

"Nobody is like me," he laughs. Setting his chin within his palm, he leans on his left arm for support. I'd been trying to figure out how to get all of this together; to fix all of the lies I've told over the last five years. "Why do you feel the need to say that..."

"You ever feel like you don't belong on this planet?" I still had not turned around to face him. Prince's energy shifted from it's usual bubbly jokester persona to a deep and sincere focus.

"All the time."

Rotating on the balls of my feet I face my lover, "I'm not from here at all." His head tilts in confusion. With no other options left, I decide it was time to expose my true self. As my human exterior sheds off of my body I allow my true self to live its truth. I reintroduce myself. "I'm June."
