"Thanks again..!" Diva spoke to the horse owner.
"No problem, enjoy your ride. These horses can find their way back so do not worry." The kind Egyptian man looked at me. His eyes seemed to lock on mine for a moment. He nods his head. "Whatever you are searching for out here, I wish you luck miss. May the gods are with you."
I felt my heart jump a bit at this as if electricity hit me. Did he know? Surely he didn't. I could feel golden eyes looking at the both of us. I only nod my head slightly in thanks.
"Here let me introduce you to you're horse miss." He smiled at me. Diva carefully followed like a good friend I have to know for a while would.
I now stood in front of a tall, Arabian black stallion. It' s shiny midnight coat gleamed like the Egyptian decor Atem had upon his hair and neck. He was stunning.
"This here is Anubis. Now don't worry, he may be a stallion but is a really calm one. I think he makes a good match for you for the ride out there."
As far as my mind could go back to history. Anubis was called the god of the underworld. Leading the souls of the dead. It was oddly funny. For my quest to go back to Egypt and finish some unfinished business. Basically led me back into past of the deceased. Or in sense history.
Swallowing my fears I brought out my hand to this tall stallion. Patting his head.
"Hello there..Anubis." ' I could use, ,you're helping.' I spoke in my mind the last few words. The horse seemed to drop his soft velvet face into my palm. As if replying to my plea.
I didn't know what waited for me if I was somehow to return to Ancient Egypt. I knew It wouldn't be easy. So I mentally have been preparing myself for the worse. I didn't want to burden Diva. He was kind enough to pull me out of the desert sand and help me get back to health. I left Mahad, and the rest of the travelling sorcerers at such a bad time, after getting attacked by wild dogs.
"Would you like help?" Diva came right up behind me. Softly speaking to me. " I can do it, but how about. Could you hold the reins for me till I climb on.., please."
"Sure." I placed the reins into my new friend's hand. Gripping them gently, bit tight. Diva stepped aside a bit, watching closely as I mounted Anubis.
'Yes..! I'm up.' I smiled to myself. One step closer to seeing that area. "Here you go. " Diva placed the reins over the horse's head, having them literally placed into my hand.
"Thanks." I watched as Diva walked over to a dark bay horse. Said to be called Rise. It was actually a mare, not a stallion like mine. We greeted the man farewell as we set out.
"Okay, Anubis...please...help me. find them.." I whispered into my horse's soft long mane. Squeezing his side gently my horse began to talk long, but soft strides over the sand.
"Soo.., how much do I owe you..?" I glanced over at Diva. I couldn't just let him pay for this too. He looked at me in shock, his eyes going wide. "Oh no, it's alright. Don't worry about it."
"W-what??but I can't just-" I get cut off softly.
"No, It's alright. You can pay me back, by staying alive, and happy. This is you're the adventure after all." My eyes widen at this. The way he said it. The...thoughts of how wrong it felt..., even if he said no payment needed. I wanted to repay him somehow for this. A slight tear of happiness hit the corner of my eye but never dropped. I turned my head to face straight. "Thanks. With that, I sped Anubis up to a gallop. Speeding up the hill of sand faster.
"Hya!"
"!W-wait! ____" Called Diva after me. "It's dangerous! "
"It's always dangerous. I don't care anymore. Not until I find my way. I lived this far, and I will during my next fight." I told the open desert. My horse only got faster, and faster. Taking larger strides as I began to see a pyramid in the distance appear.
