Hey everyone! This one was requested by sebvettgirl I know it is quite a lot later than I told you it would be, but since I started working at this supermarket in my town I have been incredibly busy, so I hope you don't mind.

You were walking through the paddock, you had your best friend walking beside you as you were on your way to the square as it was called on the Dutch tv, so Max could do all his interviews. He had just finished the race and it had been another exciting race. You were his pr, so you had to bring him there and help him between interviews. It took about half an hour until you were back in Max's motorhome before he would have to go to a short debrief of the race. Your phone started buzzing and you got it out of your pocket.

Y/bf/n: Hey, I don't think this is a good idea. I have a girlfriend.

You frowned. What the hell was this?

You: What the hell?

Y/bf/n: Y/n, this isn't what it seems!

You: Yeah right, it seems like you are cheating on me!

Y/bf/n: Stop overreacting!

You: Overreacting?! You are CHEATING on me!

Y/bf/n: Like you and that driver of yours never do something!

You: Actually, no!

Y/bf/n: Well, screw you. I don't love you so why not end it?

You didn't know what to feel. You were furious, but at the same time, he had just broken your heart. You just started to cry and you stormed into Max's motorhome. Max followed you and frowned when he saw the tears leaving your eyes.

"Y/n?" He gently asked. "What's going on?" You looked at him your eyes already red and cheeks already puffy.

"Y/bf/n... He broke up with me." You gave your phone to Max, expecting him to get furious, but instead of that, Max sat down beside you and wrapped you up in his long, muscular arms.

"The jerk." He whispered in your hair. You and Max had known each other for a very long time. In fact, from around the time, Max started go-carting. When he would have a race in the neighbourhood you lived, your father wanted to go and see his friend's son drive. He was really into racing himself, helping his daughter to get into it herself. It was how she wanted to get into racing herself, so that's why she became a PR.

That weekend you also met Max and you had been close ever since.

"At least I can depend on you." You sniffed. "Thank you for that." He gave you a kiss on the top of your head. Your phone started to ring, Max took it and you saw and felt him tense up.

"Where does he gets the guts from to call you after all of this?!" You immediately knew the one calling you was y/bf/n.

"Pick it up..." You softly said. "I would like to hear what he has to say." Max didn't want to, but he hesitantly answered the call and put in on the speaker.

"Y/n?" You heard your ex's voice through the phone.

"Yeah." You said emotionless and it was the starting sound for y/bf/n to go and start rambling all sorts of excuses. He had an explanation for the whole thing and the more he talked, the more things he had done were brought to light. In the end, it all came down to a whole lot more things he had done wrong in their relationship he had a whole lot more excuses.

"But I am so sorry babe." You rolled your eyes.

"Don't babe me..." Beside you, Max grinned. He liked your attitude towards y/bf/n

"But sweetheart..."

"Don't sweetheart her! You are not worthy enough to call her anything!" Max snapped.

"He is listening?! I am on speaker?!" Y/bf/n yelled. "And of course, you are worthy enough, am I right?"

"He is." you answered y/bf/n. Max definitely was.

"Well, you didn't do anything with him right?" You frowned. What the hell?

"No, I didn't and I don't." You started to tear up again.

"Well, I would just like to wish you good luck with your life!" Y/bf/n ended the call and you huffed.

"You are right Max." You look at his bright blue eyes and he looks straight into your e/c-ed ones. "He is a total jerk..."

"He doesn't deserve a girl like you, y/n," He said. "And you don't deserve to have a guy treating you like that. You deserve a nice guy who treats you the way he should treat any girl, but also treat you like the extra special girl you are." You blushed. Max surely knew how to flatter you.

"You're the best friend anyone could wish for." You hugged him and buried your face in the fabric of his shirt. Max grimaced. He just got seriously friend zoned by you, but he wasn't going to leave it at that, that was one thing that was for sure.
