Better together (a clace fan fiction)

Parabatai

I wake up and get dressed. The parabatai ceremony is in a few hours. I just go ahead and get dressed in what I have to wear later which consists of a grey t-shirt and black pants. They don't care what shoes so I am just wearing converse.

My mouth isn't sore anymore so I'm all better after getting my wisdom teeth out. It's amazing what a few iratzes can do when something like that has to happen.

Grace has been gone for a full week now. I miss her so much. The seelie queen will attack on Monday. That's what I'm most worried about.

When jace is getting dressed I slip out of our room unnoticed and go downstairs.

I knock on Jonathan's bedroom door.

He opens the door wearing only a pair of  pants. "Yes" he asks. I squeeze past him into his room.

"Oh please come in why don't you" he says sarcastically. I turn and look at him. "What" he asks.

"I still havent picked out the person for my witness for the parabatai ceremony later" I tell him. "You are kinda running out of time" he says. "I know that genius. I now know who I want to be there" I tell him. "Who" he asks. "You. I want you to be the one there. Simon is having izzy there" I tell him. "Won't Jace get mad that he is not the one you picked" he asks unsure. "I don't care. He will just have to get over it. Besides, he will be at the reception afterwards. A bunch of parabatai will" I tell him. "Okay if you are sure. What time do we need to leave here" he asks me. "Its right after lunch. The ceremony shouldnt last too long so we will be getting food after that" I tell him. He nods.

"Lets go to breakfast. I have an idea I want to suggest to Jace" I tell him.

We both leave his bedroom and Jace emerges from our tower. "There you are. You dissapeared" Jace says. "Yeah sorry" I say and him. Chrissie runs past us and bear and follows her. The three of us go to breakfast.

Jonathan sits beside me and jace sits beside us. I get my coffee, Jonathan gets orange juice, and so does jace.

They bring out breakfast. It's scrambled eggs, bacon, and fruit. I hate scrambled eggs so much and so does Jonathan but nobody but only the two of us know that. It's our secret. Jonathan puts fruit on his plate first. I put some scrambled eggs on mine.

"Are you gonna eat that? I thought you hated scrambled eggs" Jonathan whispers. "I do but I still want something for breakfast and this looks like my only option right now. Are you going to" I whisper back. "No I'm just eating bacon and fruit" he says back. I roll my eyes.

I try and eat the eggs. I take a bite and gag internally but try not to show it. I take a few bites more but can't do it anymore.

I take some eggs I haven't eaten off my plate and put it on Jonathan's. "If I'm gonna suffer you will suffer with me" I tell him. He glares at me and slowly eats the disgusting eggs. I eat a piece of bacon.

"So jace I've had an idea" I start. He looks up at me. "Yesterday josten told me he still doesn't trust Grant to be back in the castle. He has done everything possible and I'm not going to go into all the details. I think we should move him" I suggest. "To where" jace asks. "The silent city" I tell him. He looks shocked. "Clary, that place can drive you insane if you are down there too long" he says. "I know. It can fix his problem too. We can go back down there when we think he won't go after Alice or other girls and learnt his lesson to listen the first time" I say. "I see what you're getting at. I will have someone move him to the silent city after this" jace says. I nod. I eat the rest of my breakfast and drink my coffee. It's been two weeks that Grant has been in Josten posession.

After breakfast Jonathan goes one way and jace and I go to our office. We got more letters from the seelie queen asking for us to turn in Grace. We get one every day.
