Nightmare That is so Beautiful

Kara's P.O.V

I am in my room while Im infront of the mirror.
Seriously looking at it.
I entwined my finger and put my chin on the back of my hand.

"Im so fucking awesome."

I realize this.
Im like a princess in a fairytale.
No.
They are not as lucky as I am.
Honestly, my past life is  the only bad thing in my life.

"Maybe its because I am very cute?"

In my past life I have long bangs covering my face most of the time and I am being pessimist about life.
It is also due to my rejection and shame that my self esteem is so low.
Honestly, I am pretty arent I?

"I am really cute." I nod thinking to myself.
"No one is cuter than I am." I nod again.
Feeling the burning heat in my cheeks I run to my bed and roll over.

"Aww Gawd What the fuck am I doing!!"

After I learned that Dad stay for me.
I dont know where should I put my heart cause it is occupying too much space in my body from swelling too much.
I am so in love that I want to laugh so loud to make the whole world envy me.

Yes.
I am a sinful girl who is love in all sides and corner.

I yelp again and roll from thinking too much.
Ah.
I cant seem to sit down from this happiness.
Im starting to see everything in a good light.

"Dad, are you still awake?" I push the door open.
Of course he is awake. I know he is finishing some papers in the study room.
I just say that for starters.

"Why are you still awake?" Dad frowns. His voice is low.

"Coffee?"
I place the coffee in the side.

"You shouldnt have bothered. Sleep now." He said in a stern voice as if he is very mad.

Yet, I already know that he is just concern.
Cant help misunderstanding Dad. He cant even show a simple affection like this.

"Dad, can I help Dad?"

"No. Go back and sleep."

"I want to help."

"Honestly, you are disturbing me."

If this is my past life I will be heart broken and cry a river. Wallowing.

"But I cant sleep." I act spoiled and tug Dad's sleeve.

Dad look at me with his blue eyes that starting to show helplessness.

"What is the matter?" He then take my hand and as if checking my temperature he put the back of my hand to his cheek.

"I want to sleep with Dad." I sweetly said.

"You are not a child anymore." He said dismissing me.
I already swallowed my pride when I act spoiled. How can I back down now?

"But when I am a child..Dad is not there."

I just want him to agree but the end result makes me regret it.
Dad looks sorry and he become quiet.

"I really...am useless."
He said as he distance himself to me.
"Go to your room Katirina!"

This tone makes me stand straight.
I nod and hurried to the door.

"Im sorry Dad. I dont mean to hurt--"

"Go!"

I am just thinking that I am very happy and I am like a pampered princess.
But now...I know the truth.

"Im greedy. So fucking greedy!"
I am so angry with myself that I sleep while looking at my stupid sorry face in the mirror.

Gabriel went to his daughter's room after finishing some documents.
He blinks his eyes as he saw that Kara is sitting on the chair and sleeping soundly in there.
He feels another jolt as he carried her to the bed.
Gabriel carress Kara's hair.

"Why are you so light?" He frowns and a trace of disgust in his eyes.
He cant show how much regret he has espicially for this daughter.
Why isnt he there when she needs him?
Thinking how she might smile just with his presence.

"Kara, Dad is sorry."

Kara didnt move but her body instantly reach for warmth.
Hugging that stiff pillow.

Gabriel smiles when Kara rub herself to him.
He decided it is not bad to sleep with his daughter if she earnestly ask for it.
Lying down.
Gabriel felt discomfort.
He is not use to have skin to skin contact like this.
But enduring it for this girl he tried his best to rub her hair to distract himself.

"Once upon a time..."
Gabriel starts telling Kara his favorite bed time story.
Of course he wont be able to do it if Kara is awake so making sure the girl is already asleep thus he summon all his nerve and tell her a story.
This story is the one and only bed time story his mom has ever read him. Making it special.
Sharing this to this grown up girl is a bit awkward so he sneakily tell it to her while asleep.

Kara on the other hand is actually awake. She wakes up when Gabriel starts telling his bed time story. Kara is actually woken up by the call of nature. How can Kara suddenly open her eyes at this awkward moment and excuse herself to go to the bathroom?

So to not alarm Gabriel, Kara didnt move.

"I will tell you a secret."

Kara's ear straighten when she heard this serious father telling a 'sleeping' her a secret.

"I will not repeat this so you better listen."

Kara want to roll her eyes.
How can a sleeping person do that?
But the coaxing tone from Gabriel is very sweet.

"I am partial to all of my daughter."

Again Kara wants to roll her eyes.
Tell her the obvious.
Is that even a secret?

"But...I cant help liking you more."

Kara already forgot she wants to pee so badly because her eyes watered into tears.

The shock Gabriel suddenly shake her shoulder.
Pretending she is asleep Kara look shock at Gabriel.

"Dad?"

"Baby, you are having a nightmare!" Gabriel said wiping the tears in her eyes.

Kara shakes her head.
"I dont remember."

"That is also good. Just lie down and go back to sleep."

"Dad.. why are you here?"

"Didnt you want us to sleep together?"

Kara smiles and hug Gabriel.
"Thank you Dad."

"Go back to sleep." Gabriel said carressing Kara's back.

Kara nods.
"I will pee first..and..."

"Go if you want to pee..."

"...Dad..It is not a nightmare."

"Hmm?"

"My dream is very beautiful."

"Then why did you cry?"
Gabriel knit his brow.

"C-cause its too beautiful."

Gabriel looks at that beautiful face of his daughter that is crying so much.
He looks away realizing he was 'heard'.

"Naughty girl.." he said while his face flush with a blush.
