Naira's POV

I was invading Kartik's suitcase to find Ahana's toy.

I dig my hand deeper into the suitcase and when I brought it out, I was....I dunno actually.

There were condoms in there!!

I nodded my head in disbelief and again started searching for the toy.

Just then, I heard some footsteps and the door closing behind.

I turned back to look at Kartik standing behind me with his hands on his hips.

"Okay....so this is why the room's door was open! Hello madam, why are you invading my suitcase?!", he asked me with a raised eyebrow.

"Searching for your daughter's fluffy bunny toy", I told him and continued searching for it.

"Oh", he said.

"Found it!", I said after discovering it finally.

"Good job", he said.

I started walking towards the door and tried to open it. But it was jammed.

"Kartik....", I called out for him.

"Yes", he said and approached me.

"The door's not opening. It's jammed", I said.

"Holy shit!", he cursed and started pushing the door but it wasn't opening.

"What do we do now?", I asked him.

"Call the reception", He said with 'obviously' kinda expression.

Kartik called the reception but they weren't picking up.

"The line's busy", he said and ended the call.

"Do you have phone? We can call Nidhi", I suggested.

"Nope....I don't have a phone", He replied.

"What do we do now?", I asked worried.

"We wait and enjoy the situation. Actually...It's not a big deal. We are not stuck in a mysterious island. We are stuck in a hotel room that has all the basic necessities in it that we need to live a life....so it's okay. They'll come searching for us. Till then let's spend some alone time", Kartik said and winked.

I was shocked at his behaviour.

"Kartik...are you drunk?", I asked getting closer to him to get a clue.

He was smiling sheepishly.

He was drunk!

I rolled my eyes and sat on the bed with a thud.

"Wow.....I never expected to be in this kind of situation", I said looking at him.

He sat beside me and looked at me.

"You like me, don't you?", he asked smiling at me mischievously.

How the hell does he know!!

"No- Nope", I stuttered and struggled not to make eye contact with him.

"Don't lie Naira....I know it", he said.

"You are drunk Kartik....Do you even know what you r speaking?", I scolded him.

Kartik shrugged his shoulders.

"You know what Naira....if I would've met you before no....I would've put that ring in your finger", he said with utmost adoration in his eyes and it made me go awe.....
