Deacon P.O.V.

I walked into the stairwell and headed up the stairs.

I got to the top of the steps and took a seat.

The stairwell door opened and I heard footsteps getting closer.

I looked up and saw Tiffany.

I let out a sigh of a relief.

"Hey you ok?" she asked.

"I guess... I just don't get him. He ruins everything," I said frustrated.

Tiffany came over and sat down next to me.

"Your dad does seem like a lot," she agreed.

"You don't know the half of it," I said.

"You wanna talk about it?" she asked.

"No. I just want my mom to pull through and tell my father to fuck off. I can't believe Alex told him about my mother's diagnosis. Then Cecilia let him stress her out. She just stood there and watched the shit go down?" I said as I put my head in my hands feeling defeated.

"Your mother is a strong woman. I know she'll pull through all this," Tiffany said being positive.

I nodded.

Tiffany slowly pulled my hands away from my face. We locked eyes.

She pulled me by my chin and pecked my lips.

Softly her lips brushed over mine then she pulled away.

I looked into her beautiful comforting brown eyes and melted.

I leaned in and kissed her again.

I feel like she is the only one who understands me and is here for me.

Tiffany kissed me back for a second then pulled away.

I pulled her back in but she turned her head away.

"Deacon we can't. I will not be the other woman. I'm better than being a quick fuck or side piece. If you want me you need to end things with old girl with the bitchy attitude," Tiffany said.

I licked my lips and nodded.

"I'm sorry," I said.

"Don't apologize. Just figure your shit out. I'll be here when you make a decision," Tiffany said.

Tiffany stood up and I got up too.

She walked down the stairs and I followed her.

As she got to the door leading out the staircase she opened the door to step out but I quickly grabbed her hand pulling her back in for a second.

I kissed her and she giggled against my lips.

The kiss was quick then she headed out of the stairwell.

I was right behind her.

We were giggling like we had our own little secret.

She was blushing and I smiled at her.

We got two feet down the hallway before I heard someone clear their throat.

We looked up and the face I saw let me know I was in trouble.

Cecilia P.O.V.

I was walking the hallways looking for Deacon just hoping he wouldn't be with Tiffany.
