Trying to make the most of it, Jasper couldn't help but glance down at his girl, who lay comfortably on his chest and was too distracted with the cartoon films Madelline made him watch along with her, which he didn't mind, seeing it as an opportunity to spend even more time with the brunette.

He couldn't help but smile at how easily entertained she became just because of a talking animal or a mythical creature that conjures up a so-called 'magic' with the use of her stick—Jasper found it a bit tedious to do as the old lady would have to reach underneath her sleeves for her magical stick, but he wouldn't dare say it in front of his girlfriend, of course.

His fingers unconsciously played with the ends of her hair, finding it the most interesting matter to focus on instead of the film playing in front of them, which didn't go unnoticed by the hybrid.

"You can take a picture, love. Maybe it'll last longer." Her teasing voice interrupted his gazing just to see her looking up at him with a teasing smile.

Jasper smirked down at her. "I don't have any intentions of leaving your side, darling. A picture is unnecessary," he replied, leaning down to kiss her.

"You know," Madelline attempted to say, only to be frequently cut off by his kisses. Despite the glare she was sending him, she couldn't deny the ever-growing butterflies fluttering furiously inside her stomach. "In present times, this is considered an obsession."

"Is it so wrong to be inside your arms for as long as we want?" he whispered, grazing his lips just enough to get a rise from the woman beside him.

Madelline was about to close their distance when Jasper abruptly sat up, leaving a confused Madelline behind and allowing a smirk to grow. She huffed and defeatedly laid back on her pillow, opening her eyes just to see Jasper now standing up and grabbing all the snack wrappers they'd left around.

"How can someone be so gentlemanly yet a goddamn tease?" she whispered to herself. A hint of frustration laced her voice; Jasper, who heard it loud and clear, chuckled before rounding her bed and coming up beside her to leave a soft yet lingering kiss on her lips.

The kiss was short, but it left Madelline breathless and wanting more. The two leaned away, Madelline caressing his cheek. Adoration swam in her irises as she looked at the man in front of her. Until this very moment, she refused to believe that he was real and within her reach.

As the moon eventually laid to rest and the morning greeted the couple once again, the two lay on her bed with their legs entangled, with no desire to let go. Too distracted with the film playing in front of them, they failed to notice Elijah slowly opening her door to greet her, only to stop midway.

No matter how confused yet angry the patriarch was toward the empath, he was just glad he could see his daughter's happiness once again; that was all that mattered to him. He may have been a villain to many others, but he was no villain when it came to his daughter's happiness, and he trusts his little girl to make decisions of her own.

"Darling, I have to go back and check with Alice and Edward," Jasper mumbled against her head. The two had now laid close to each other, disregarding completely the film in front of them.

Madelline hummed and nodded, yet she pulled him closer to her. After a moment of silence, she couldn't help but feel the worry that had been eating at her mind since she had learned of Edward's plans.

"Would they be alright?" she asked. There was no doubt that she worried immensely for her best friends, particularly the telepath, as she held him dear to her heart.
