Tripp: So you're saying that even if they say no, you've gotta pretend like you're cool with it?

You nod.

Tripp: Why?

You: 'Cause if you don't, it makes you seem desperate. And girls aren't into desperate guys.

The door opens and you see Javier, Gabe, Ava, and Clem.

You and Tripp stand up.

Tripp: Javi! You're back! And...Clementine.

Clem: Thanks for the warm welcome.

You walk up and you hug Clem.

Clem: That's better.

You and Clem walk over to the table.

You: Clem, I'm sorry I didn't come after you. I ran into Gabe, and he said he needed help--

Clem: It's okay. I get it.

You: Phew! I thought you'd be pissed.

Gabe walks up to Clem.

Gabe: I saved this one for you. He says, offering a pistol to Clem.

You glare at Gabe.

Clem: No, I've already got one.

You smirk.

Gabe walks away, disappointed.

Tripp: What took you so long?

Javier: We went to see Doctor Lingard.

Eleanor: At night? I'm kind of surprised he was sober... It's gotta be a stressful job--looking after an entire community. Can't say I approve of the way he blows off steam, though.

Javier: The guy's clearly an addict. He was destroyed when we got there.

Eleanor: It would be sad, if it wasn't so reckless.

Clem: It's pathetic, is what it is.

Clem hisses and clutches her abdomen in pain. You put your hand on her back.

You: You okay?

Clem: I'm fine.

You: You sure? That doesn't seem normal.

Clem looks up at you.

Clem: I said I'm fine!

You get taken back.

You: Okay... But I'm here if you need help, okay?

Clem: Oh, I'm sure Kenny REALLY appreciated your help!

You gasp.

She instantly regrets saying that. Clem looks like she can't believe what she just said.

Clem: Y/N, I...I didn't mean...

You look down and you shake your head.

You turn around and you run towards one of the rooms.

Clem: Y/N, wait! I'm sorry--

You slam the door. You sit and lean against the door.

Clem knocks on the door.
