Clementine's POV

You're sitting on your bed. It feels weird not having Y/N right next to you. You look to your right to see AJ staring at the wall in the corner. He's been wearing Y/N's hat ever since the bridge.

Clem: C'mere, goofball.

He shakes his head.

AJ: I--I can't.

Clem: Why not?

He looks back at you.

AJ: Because I want Y/N to sit next to me.

He looks back at the wall.

AJ: We should've gone with him... We could've protected him.

Clem: You don't know that.

AJ clenches his fists. He angrily slams his fists on the desk, making you gasp.

AJ: Yes, I do!

He turns to you.

AJ: It was OUR fault we didn't go with him when he went with James! If we had just gone with him, none of this would've happened! You both always said...you both always said to NEVER go alone!

Clem: Alvin Junior!

AJ: Y/N wasn't meant to die, Clem!

Clem: That's enough! You say, standing up from the bed.

AJ: Why did we go against what we said?!

You start getting teary.

Clem: AJ, stop!

AJ: Y/N is dead, and WE let it happen!

Clem: STOP IT!

He gets taken back. You start crying.

Clem: JUST STOP IT, AJ! I loved him too! We knew each other since we were eight-years-old, AJ! He's protected me through every last bit of everything I've been through! I made a mistake, AJ... I made a...stupid...FUCKING mistake!

You start sobbing. You fall to your knees with your hands over your eyes. You start sobbing uncontrollably into your hands.

AJ walks up to you. He hugs you, so you hug back.

AJ: ...I'm sorry. I just...can't believe he's gone.

You nod.

Clem: I know...

You pull out of the hug. You both look at each other, revealing AJ to have tears in his eyes.

AJ: ...How will we get passed this? I don't know if I can...

Clem: We might not get over it, AJ... But he'll always be watching over us.

AJ: Like where Tenn thinks people go?

Clem: Maybe... Wherever he is...I know he's happy.

AJ: But...we're sad...he always said it made him sad when we were sad.

Clem: He's happy because he's at peace... He'll always be at peace.

AJ: Is he with Kenny?

You smile.

Clem: ...Yeah. Yeah, he's with Kenny.

AJ looks away. You stop smiling.

Clem: AJ, look. You say, putting your hands on his shoulders.

He looks at you.

Clem: Y/N may be gone...but we'll always love him.

AJ: I know.
