"is something going on with you and garcia?" you asked morgan as the two of you walked towards the bau conference room together. you were holding some case files in your arm as you waited for him to reply to you.

"i'm not sure what's going on with her," he muttered. "she called me over last night after a fight with kevin and when she woke up this morning, she was acting all weird and-"

"oh my god," you muttered. "she thinks that she cheated on kevin with you, morgan."

"but why would she think that?" he asked you, watching as you set out the cases for everyone as they thanked you before you went over to sit down next to reid.

"because maybe she was too hung over to remember anything that you and her did together."

reid looked over at you with a smile as you focused your attention to him instead of morgan.

"hey," you said softly as morgan tried to get your attention back again.

"_____, _____," he said as you turned back to him while reid joined into the conversation. "can we please talk about this?" he asked.

"i'm not the one to talk to about this," you replied. "garcia is."

"she won't even look at me, _____," he said as you just shrugged.

"i don't know what to do," you replied, looking back over at reid as you tried to start talking to him again.

"do you think that you could talk to her for me?" he asked as you sighed, turning back to face him.

"just tell her! it's not that hard, morgan," you said, slumping down in your seat as reid gave morgan a brief look before looking at you.

you were staring straight forwards towards the table as reid let out a sigh, looking towards morgan once more before hotch walked into the room.

-
"is everything going to be okay with you and morgan?" reid asked you as the two of you walked to the dumpsite of one of the victims.

you sighed, trying to keep up your pace with his since his legs were considerably longer than yours.

"spence, can you slow down a little? i'm just a little shorter than you," you told him slightly sarcastic as he nodded, slowing down enough to let you catch up to him. "and i'm not sure. i just wish he would figure things out by himself. he and garcia have been friends longer than we have so i don't get why he can't just spit it out and ask her."

"maybe he will," reid responded, causing you to look up at him. "morgan is a good man. he has always protected you for me or protected me for you, and he always is able to talk things out. maybe he just thinks that since you're a woman, you'll be able to help him better than him asking me."

you nodded, tucking some hair behind your ear.

"he has protected you a lot of times," you muttered as reid chuckled.

"do you remember that time when i got hit on by that hooker in vegas and you weren't around? you were off with rossi trying to find out more about the suspect?" reid asked you.

you furrowed your brows.

"you got hit on? by a hooker? and you didn't tell me? spence, what the hell. i thought that-" you began as you faced him but he smiled, pressing a kiss to yours lips gently.

when he let go, you smiled up at him.

"i did," he replied. "but morgan stopped her from doing anything and therefore, there was no reason for me to worry about it at all. not that i was even thinking of her at all because you looked so good in that outfit you had on that day," he said, rubbing his thumb against your cheek gently.

you smiled, feeling weak in your knees as he pressed a kiss to your forehead before taking your hand in his.

"okay, now that i have you completely," he muttered. "we should get back to our job now. but trust me, morgan is a man of dignity for our friendship and for keeping us together. he's coming to you for advice because he trusts you."

you nodded. "i'll talk to him about it later. but tonight, you better be prepared."

"for what?"

you smiled to yourself.

"i have a better outfit than the one i wore that day," you said softly as he cleared his throat, readjusting his tie with his free hand as you continued to smile to yourself.
