"Whoa, I don't like it." Ruff said as we looked around the trashed camp on Outcast Island.

We'd been patrolling the nearby islands when it came to our attention that Outcast Island was a barren war zone. Well, almost. What we'd discovered in the past few minutes since landing is that everything was destroyed, but there were no traces of and weapons lying around or damage from any.  The only living things around besides us were a few bids and mice which I had been feeding bread crumbs.

"Weird. I don't see any arrows or spears." Hiccup shook his head and then turned to me and Spike who were casually covered in as well as feeding the wildlife. "You have a bird on your shoulder." He pointed out.

"I am aware," I smiled and pet the bird's feathers. "I like it here."

I was then rudely yanked, figuratively and literally, as Astrid grabbed my arm and pulled me back to where everyone was investigating. Meaning the birds took off and the mince scurried away, leaving me disappointed.

"No boulders from catapults." Fishlegs said as we all grouped back together.

"This really doesn't seem like a Dragon Hunter attack." Hiccup muttered and looked around, deep in thought.

"Well, whoever did this meant business." Astrid said, looking at the damage.

"And where did everybody go?" Fishlegs asked.

'Vacation?' I thought to myself.

"They must have evacuated." Astrid replied.

"What could possibly scare the Outcasts off their own island?" Fishlegs continued, still mulling over all of the different possibilities.

"Mutton famine?" Tuff suggested.

"Bed bugs?" Ruff suggested. "Once those things show up, you can never get rid of 'em."

Hiccup ignored their odd suggestions and continued on a more logical approach. "I think this has something to do with it. These scorch marks, do these look familiar to anyone?"

"Hiccup, do you think it could be..." Fishlegs gasped.

I got closer to the markings and thought for a moment. "Looks like the marks Midnight made when we terrorized the village..."

'Midnight....Skrill...'

"Oh, dear..."

* * *

"There. That's the one." Hiccup said and pointed to a now-empty glacier that once contained a Skrill. To be more specific, the Skrill that almost killed me a few years ago and that the gang trapped while I was sick.

~flashback~

"I wanna go,"

"No"

"I wanna go,"

"No,"

"I wanna go,"

"No,"

"I wanna go!" I whined.

"(Y/n), if you ask me that one more time I'm getting Astrid." Hiccup told me seriously.

I thought to myself for a moment then chose life.

~end of flashback~

"Yep. The Skrill is gone." Snotlout gulped.

"That's a good title for a song." Tuff said. "I'm gonna work on that when we get home."

"How did this happen?" Fishlegs asked as we got closer to the broken ice.

"Shoddy workmanship, I'd say." Tuff replied casually.
