I woke up and looked around for Astrid, we normally go on a morning ride together but I gotten up late today. I looked all damn day and couldn't find her anywhere on the island, that's when the horrible gut-wrenching fear really kicked in and I burst in the clubhouse.
"I can't find her!" I yelled and started gathering some supplies.
"Still no sign of 'em? They're probably out exploring and lost track of time." Fishlegs said.
"She's never been gone all day like this. Not without telling someone." Hiccup told him.
"I'm going to find her," I said and tied up my travel bag.
"You remember when she didn't show up for her own party 'cause she was setting up a defensive perimeter around Berk." Fishlegs reminded us.
"Yeah." Hiccup and I nodded.
"Or the time, she decided to practice her late-night axe-throwing and surprised silent Sven in the woods."
"Yes, Fishlegs," I said, getting annoyed.
"No, I don't think he recovered from that. And there was that time-"
"Thank you, Fishlegs for trying to make me feel better." I snapped at him and mounted Spike. "but this is different, there is something wrong, I can feel it." I told him.
"You know if anyone is equipped to survive out there, it is Astrid." Fishlegs went on.
"No, you're right Fishlegs. But we're gonna find her anyway." Hiccup said and nodded to me. "Let's get ready to leave in-"
"No," I cut him off. "I'm leaving now!"
"(Y/n), you need to stay calm." He said softly.
"That's my best friend out there and I'm going to find her right now!" I yelled which probably wasn't necessary and Spike shot like a rocket out of the clubhouse.

It had been hours and night had fallen. Spike and I had gone to search the south as that's where she liked to go fly. Spikes scanned the area with his echo light, but nothing turned up.
"Still nothing. She's got to be somewhere." I said and bit my lip.
"There!" I shrieked as I saw a blond head slip underwater.
Spike dove into the cold water and I grabbed Astrid's body, hoisting her on my lap as Spike shot back in the air.
"Oh, Astrid!" I muttered and pulled a blanket from my pack then wrapped it around her.
She was breathing and that's all that mattered.

"Stand back!" I shooed at the gang away and grabbed another blanket to put on Astrid. That's when she started waking up.
"Astrid!" I panicked rushed to her bed.
"What took you so long?" She coughed.
"Oh thank Thor." Hiccup sighed.
She passed out again and I pushed the riders out as Astrid needed sleep and not five stalkers.

I sat slumped over in a stool, slowly dozing off when Astrid woke with a yell and I fell over in shock.
"Stormfly!"
All of the riders stood in a circle around the bed and watched her.
"Hey! It's okay, it's okay just try to relax Astrid, you had a tough night." Hiccup said calmly as she tried to get out of bed.
