"Is there no end to your smuggling?" Hiccup asked me as I pulled the twelfth Vanaheim/Defenders fruit pie from the forge.

"Yes," I replied and held the pie away from the two pie-covered Night Furys. "I asked Mala if I could have a sapling so my smuggling is nonexistent."

"It's nonexistent if she said yes." He responded and tried to drag Toothless away.

"Good thing she did." I said, putting the pie in a cupboard and grabbing a rag to start cleaning Spike's face.

"So you're going to stay here all day and eat while Heather goes to see the resting place of her dad? Hiccup asked, sounding like this was supposed to be a guilt-tripping comment.

"Yep. No dead dads for me." I nodded and began eating another pie that was done cooling. "Well, besides my own of course."

Hiccup watched me and raised an eyebrow.

"Would you like some pie?" I asked, not playing into his game.

"..."

I sighed and sat on a stool. "You know me, I don't do emotions. It's not that I don't care but I end up saying some stupid thing and making the person feel worse. If I was talking to my younger self on that plywood, I'd probably say 'Well, at least you can turn it into a shrunken head and keep it with you'. You see what I'm saying?"

"You don't have to say anything, it's just a show of support." He pointed out.

"Exactly." I nodded. "And I can show my support by not being there. Do you really think she wants the girl who pulled her father's rotten corpse and buried him in a shallow grave at her side? 'By the way, Heather. You may wanna be careful about looking through his stuff, we didn't find all of his fingers."

"And this is why you're not going to say anything." Hiccup told me.

"Thus why I'm not going." I added and he smirked before pulling out one of my glitter bombs and tossing it into the pot of the Vanaheim tree.

"Oh, you're going." He grinned as the tree went up in flames.

"Sorry, I'm late." I sighed and met Heather and Astrid at the stables. "I got held up."

"Right." Astrid laughed and the two of them exchanged a look.

"Not like that." I rolled my eyes and recalled the actual situation. "Okay, a little like that."

We did share some dessert... from each other's mouths...

"Whatever, I'm here now!  Let's get this show on the road!" I said loudly and got on Spike.

"Wow," Heather gasped as we landed on the island.

"Yeah, it's pretty impressive." I laughed and looked at the massive skeleton. "What do you wanna bet that guy was the King of dragons at some point?"

"That actually would make a lot of sense." Astrid nodded.

"Think he'd mind if I stole a bone or two?" I asked aloud and she slapped me over the head. "Right, right, bad idea. Grave desecration is a crime."

"So where is Oswald's hut?" Heather brought us back to the reason we were here.

"Let's see." I muttered and pulled out the map Fishlegs had made. "Other side of the island. I need to make a stop in the middle to get another fruit tree because Hiccup torched mine. We should probably walk so we don't upset the Sentinels or get ambushed by Grim Gnashers."
