I very slowly and very quietly slunk out of Hiccup's bed and woke the Night Fury's.
"Shhh!" I whispered to them and took them out of the house and into the dark village of Berk. I lead the dragons to the blacksmith and asked them to light the fire while I got some supplies. Moments later, I walked with buckets of paint, brushes and bits of fabric.
It was about 3:00 am and the morning of Dreadfall. The riders had all come back to Berk to celebrate with their families at home. Since I had neither, I was staying with Hiccup and Stoick. Astrid offered for me to stay with her but I had a feeling she probably wanted to spend some quality time with Erick.
The huts were covered in cobwebs and decorated with Flightmare paint, making the drawings glow. The village was supporting hundreds of pumpkins and jack-o'-lanterns, as well as skeletons and props of all sorts. Bloody weapons, scary messages and dragon spines. The ground was also littered with leaves in varying shades of red, orange and yellow; leaving the trees bare and lifeless.
"Okay," I said to the Night Fury's and dipped one of my brushes in the white paint, then raised it to Toothless's head. "Try and stay still, trust me, you'll look fabulous!" I grinned.
I went up and down his body and tried my best to mimic his skeletal patterns with the paint. I had to do many coats and fix lots of tiny errors, but eventually, I was left with a Bone Fury. Toothless smiled while inspecting my work and then hopped around before licking me.
"Your welcome," I laughed and turned to Spike. "You ready?" I asked. Spike looked hesitant as I approached him with paint. "Don't worry, it will all be over soon..."

The sun had started creeping up over the ocean and the village was slowly waking up. At some point throughout the hours, Toothless had disappeared and came back with a herd of dragons. And...well...I may have gone a bit overboard. I love Dreadfall okay?!

"Toothless! There you- what happened?!" I heard Hiccup gasp.
"Um...hi?" I grinned awkwardly.
"...I-I'm speechless." He said.
"Really? I like it." Astrid said and walked out from the heard the dragons.
"No! I mean- I think it's great! I just wasn't expecting this!" Hiccup stammered and gave Toothless a once over. "You look pretty scary, bud." He said and Toothless made his gummy smile with his tongue lolling out.
"Terrifying," I said sarcastically, rolling my eyes and going back to work.
"Hookfang?! What did you do to him?!!!" Snotlout screamed in the distance and ran over.
