"So, the Fireworm Queen is like a bee?" Astrid asked.

"Pretty much," I said. We all, minus Snotlout, sat at a bench in the great hall. 'The Book Of Dragons' was open in the middle on the page of Fireworms.

"So, lets go find one and bring it back!" Snotlout yelled from across the hall.

"It's not that easy," Fishlegs said. "The Firequeen is very rare and not the mention has a lethal poison. If we even got scratched, we'd sizzle up like we were in magma!

"Cool!" The twins said in sync.

"No! Very, not cool!" Fishlegs retorted.

"So, we'll have to take extra caution." Hiccup says, trying to calm Fishlegs.

"Where do they nest?" I asked, trying to look at the book.

"In caves next to inactive volcanoes." Fishlegs says, while trying to get a grip.

I think for a moment. "I think I saw one on Dragon Island." I say rubbing my eyes, trying to remember. "When I took my team over there; Vicky met her dragon next to a place that looked like a bunch of old magma plates. We could take a look."

Hiccup nods. "Okay everyone, everyone rest tonight and we'll meet at the cliff at dawn,"

"What!" Snotlout yelled. "No! We need to leave now!"

"I think I'm with Snotlout on this," I stepped in. "As far as we know, Hookfang could be...dying." I mouthed the last part.

"I know," Hiccup said, that made me confused. "But it's late now and we've found a way to counteract the problem for the time being. It's important to spend as little time as needed, so we prepare Hookfang for the flight tomorrow and gain our strength. If we make one wrong move against the Fireworm queen...you get the idea." He explained and I shuddered at the possibility of being poisoned by such a dragon.

I felt a big scaly nose touch my palm and I smiled slightly at my dragon trying to comfort me. "Alright," I said. "We should all head home and get some rest then."

"Agreed," Astrid said and dragged Snotlout with her, as he had no plans of moving.

The other five of us soon wondered out of the hall and Hiccup and I headed out the same way. No words were said until we approached my hut.

I turned to Hiccup and hugged him. "They'll be fine," he said and I lowered my head and sighed.

"You're right," I muttered and looked at him.

"Aren't I always?" Hiccup smirked and I laughed.

"Now that's pushing it," I smiled and pecked his cheek before opening my door. "I'll see you tomorrow, dragon boy." I winked and closed the door.

I heard a muffled, "Don't look at me like that!" And a flap of wings, then silence. I laughed and made my way up to my room.

I pulled the wool blanket over myself and closed my eyes.

"Hookfang! No!" Snotlout yelled as his dragon lay limp, grey and lifeless on the stone floor.

I saw a flash of fiery light and heard a roar echo through the cavern.

"Snotlout! Get out of there!" I yelled in fear.

"(Y/n)!" I didn't even notice I was running.

I stopped and tried to pull Snotlout with me, but a big dragon approached us. The dragon slashed at me and before it hit, Astrid pushed me to the ground. She screamed and saw blood pooling.
