Early the next day, we all met at the academy so the others could learn about our discovery. Hiccup positioned the Dragon Eye with Toothless ready behind it."Okay bud, go ahead." He said.
Toothless lit up the Dragon Eye with a plasma ray, causing a map to appear on the wall.
"Woah!"
"Amazing!"
"Woah!"
"Cool!"
"Definitely worth getting up for." Fishlegs fanboyed.
"Fishlegs, can you make any of it out?" Hiccup asked
"They're parts of maps and symbols. Nothing I've seen before and there is writing but it is in a language I've never read before." Fishlegs depicted to the best of his abilities.
"What's that thing?" Snotlout asked and pointed at a weird symbol.
"That must be some kind of tribal crest or something." Hiccup said.
"Ooh, I like that way better than our tribal crest," Tuff stated.
"Tuff, we don't have a tribal crest." I pointed out.
"Well, we should." Ruffnutt retorted.
"Yeah, and it should be that," Tuffnutt added.
"Hiccup, this map, you realize it..." Fishlegs trailed off.
"Goes beyond the boundaries of the archipelago. Oh, I know." Hiccup said, full of excitement. Honestly, it was nice, he hadn't looked this happy in a long time. I almost forgot about the way his eyes would light up and you could see his mind racing a mile a minute with ideas.
The twins look at each other, not really caring that much.
"So what's our next move?" Astrid asked.
"Probably to tell Stoick," I said.
And with that, we flew to the great hall and were in a meeting with everyone who's anyone on Berk.
Hiccup stood in front of everyone, giving one of his speeches.
"Look at this. There are maps we have never seen, writing we can't read, dragons that we don't recognize. It's incredible. This Dragon Eye, this is proof that there is a whole other world down there, a world that must be explored." He said to the comity."This sure beats normal council business," Gobber said breaking the silence.
"It's alright lads," Stoick spoke up. "you can speak your mind. We're a council, after all, that's why we're here."
"We've been at peace for three years," Spitelout said. "Best years on Berk I can remember. I think you know as well as I do, when you go looking for trouble, you usually find it." Even though I wasn't particularly fond of Spitelout, I agreed with what he said. Of course, trouble wasn't going to stop me - and especially not Hiccup from exploring.
"I'm with Spitelout if that Dragon Eye leads to unknown places and new wild dragons then no good will come from any of that." A Viking named Sven said.
"I completely disagree, Sven." Hiccup immediately butted in. "Look around you. How-how can you say that no good can come from discovering new species of dragons. Know if they're out there, we have to find them."
Classic Hiccup.
"If there is anything you and the other riders should be doing is hunting down Dagur and putting him back in jail, where he belongs." Spitelout spat.
"Another reason to go. Dagur was heading beyond our borders. He thinks we won't go past them. But that's where we'll find him." Hiccup argued back.
