"Come on, Windshear, get her out," Heather said to her dragon and kept slashing at the chains.

"Oh, Heather, don't fight it," Dagur yelled from one of the ships below.

"Toothless, we have to save her!" Hiccup yelled and flew in closer.

"Well, look who the dragon flew in!" Dagur laughed. "Glad you could join us, brother! It wouldn't feel like a family reunion without you. Now, take out that Night Fury!" He ordered.

"Blast the chains, Toothless, now!" Hiccup yelled and Toothless blasted the chains to no avail. "Dragon-proof chains?!"

"Ha-ha! Nice try, Hiccup! You didn't think I'd make it that easy for you, did you?" Dagur asked him.

"Come on, lads, get him!" A berserker yelled from below and the started firing at Hiccup.

"Whoa! Okay, that was too close!" Hiccup panicked.

"Just get Heather out of here, is her that Dagur wants!" I yelled to him and struggled against the chains.

"Not happening! Come on, bud. If we can't blast the chains... blast the winches!" Hiccup said and Toothless dove at the boats and shot the winches which get destroyed.

"Nice shooting, bud!"

Spike blasted away from the ships and I was able to pull all of the chains off of us.

"Heather you can't take on Dagur and his fleet all by yourself!" Hiccup yelled as she tried to attack again.

"I'm not by myself. I have Windshear. I'm too close. I might not get this shot again!" She yelled back.

"But this is suicide!" Hiccup said angrily.

"I'm willing to do whatever it takes," Heather yelled.

"But are you willing to sacrifice Windshear, too? Heather, there will be another time. I promise you!" Hiccup finally convinced her and we headed back to The Edge.

"Blasting the winches, pretty smart," Heather said after a while.

"Yeah, and a little luck never hurts either. I talked to Johann. He told me Dagur wiped out your village... and your family. I'm sorry." Hiccup explained.

"Then you know why he has to pay." She told him.

"I do. But you don't have to do this alone." Hiccup said.

"I don't know. It seems that I'm destined to be alone. First, when I was a little girl, I get separated from my birth family." Heather started.

"Your birth family?" I asked.

"Yes, but I don't remember much. It was so long ago. Just a few pictures in my mind. I remember my father's hands. They were rough, like sandstone, but so gentle. And I remember the smell of his wooden shield. I don't think I was supposed to play with it, but he let me anyway. And this. He gave me this horn. I don't know if it means something, but whenever I look at it, I think of him. I just wish I knew who he was." Heather told us and smiled at the vague memories.

We got back to Dragon's Edge and told the others what had happened.

"Look, I'm sorry I locked up your dragons. I just didn't trust that you guys would let me go after Dagur." Heather apologized to them.

"Trust does need to be earned with people and dragons," Fishlegs said.

"Thanks for understanding, Fishlegs." Heather smiled at him.

"I don't really trust these guys either, Heather." Snotlout butt in.
