"Ouch," I muttered and rubbed my head. It was searing and the only thing to distract me from it was the multiple scratches that also caused me pain.

"Spike? Hiccup? Astrid?" I called out.

From the looks of it, I'd say I was in some sort of tunnel that was turned into a dungeon. What gave it away we're the tons on Whispering Death eggs that littered the ground.

"So you're awake~" I silhouette of a Viking came into the torch light and I saw a familiar old man.

"Mildew!" I seethed.

"Correct!" The frail man laughed.

"I take it from these egg shells, that you've been plotting against us from the very beginning." I said and pulled myself to my feet with help from the bars.

"Yes, well, you would of found out much sooner if you hadn't made friends with that chaotic, crazy, deadly, war machine! It would have obliterated the village right then and there! We put so much promise in that giant red egg!" Mildew fumed.

"How dare you talk like that about my dragon! Where is he?!" I roared and tried to grab the man through the bars.

"I think you'll find that, that thing, is no longer your dragon." Mildew cackled and walked to the cell across from me. "You'd be shocked at what a bit of dragon root and persuasion of a mother can do." A loud roar came from the cell and I saw a Whispering Death slither into view.

"I'm gonna rip you in half and feed you to the Changewings! Where are my friends?!" I grit my teeth as a familiar earsplitting scream echoed from outside.

"Well the Nightfury and the boy are getting ready for their execution. As for the others...they should be dead fairly soon, from the sounds of things." I glared at him and swallowed thickly. "And for you, you may have a few minutes at most." Mildew shrugged and left with his sheep.

I was about to breath a sigh of relief, when my cell door opened; and the Whispering Death's only seconds after. "Shit!" The dragon charged at me and I was just able to summersault out of the cage in time. I winced as my head spun and my body ached from movement. That was short lived as I almost immediately had had to dodge another attack.

"Hey, look!" I panted and looked around for any means of defense.

"I get that you don't like me!" The dragon lunged at me and I was able to just jump to left in time.

"But one of your babies is my best friend! And-" I bit back a scream as a spine sliced my upper arm. Another cry of the Screaming Death was herd from outside, making forget about its mother and I limped over to the wall and peered through a small hole. "Spike!"

My dragon was chasing the others and constantly sending out huge fire balls at them. "Please! Stop!" The others and surprisingly most Berserker's started firing at the huge dragon.

"Stop it!" I shrieked but no one heard me. "Stop! He's just a baby! Don't hurt him! Spike! No..." I choked and clambered to the ground.

'No! I'm not going to let him die!'

I grit my teeth and stood up before facing the Whispering Death. I extended my arm and looked back.

What I thought was against all odds was proven wrong when I felt the dragon press her snout to my hand. I smiled and jumped on her back.

"Alright! Let's kick some Berserker ass!"

Hiccup's POV

"You know, I'm not liking how getting captured is becoming a regular occurrence for us, bud."

Toothless snorted and rolled his eyes, from the cell to the right of me. The Beserker's had only chained me to a wall.
