Hiccup and I flew back to the village and to the arena. I had agreed to help him train.

"Here!" I handed him a sword which he could barely hold up. "Okay, we'll practice some straightforward blocks and attacks." I said and got into a battle stance.

As I expected, he sucked. So this made for a good hour before I could consider any improvement to end.

"Why must I be absolutely horrible at anything Viking related?!" Hiccup said, throwing his hands in the air.

"Well, you're at rock bottom now! So you can only go up!" I tried to be encouraging but failed.

"Is that supposed to be a compliment?" Hiccup rolled his eyes as we walked with our dragons.

"Why don't you make a weapon instead? Like a shield that can turn into a bow or something!" I said and his eyes light up.

"Come find me tomorrow morning at the Blacksmith!" Hiccup said and jumped on Toothless before flying away.

"Boys." I sighed, shaking my head and Spike bumped my shoulder.

"That doesn't apply to you." I laughed and hugged his head before jumping on his back. "Let's go home." I said and we took off.

We landed outside our now renovated hut and went inside. I gave a bucket of fish to Spike before going to help Snotlout out from one of the twins contraptions.

This has one happened to be mostly bear traps and a net.

"Need some help?" I chuckled and threw away the net.

"No way! I've got it under control." Snotlout's pride was a very strong thing. After a few seconds he eventually sighed, "Yes,".

"Thought so." I said and began unwinding the bear traps on him. After about ten minutes I got them all off and helped him up. Snotlout hissed in pain.

"Let me patch you up." I opened my bag and grabbed some gauze that Gothi taught me how to make. The twins had got a trap on his arm so obviously it was bleeding.

I rubbed the gauze on and wrapped it. "They're getting pretty brutal." I said once I was done and pet Hookfang's head.

"Morons, Hiccup asked us to take down the old dragon traps; but instead, they pushed me in!" Snotlout angrily crosses his arms and Hookfang rolled his eyes.

"How about we get some revenge?" I smiled deviously and he did too.

"Oh, this'll be good!" Snotlout grumbled and got on Hookfang.

"Let me grab Spike!" I said and ran off, then returned a few minutes later with my dragon.

"Shall we?" I asked and we took off.

We found the twins tipping over sheep and commenced our plan."

"Okay bud, sing!" I whispered to Spike and he did his deadly scream. The twins jumped in shock. Snotlout took the moment to grand them with Hookfang's feet and fly up so they were swinging upside down from their feet.

We flew out to the ocean and Hookfang dunked their heads under water.

"(Y/n), I think you should dry them off!" Snotlout smirked and flew up a bit.

"My pleasure!" I said and Spike blew giant fire right under their heads, making them scream.
"Why don't we go for a ride threw the sea stacks?" I called.

We flew at top speed through the narrow openings and the twins shrieked. Of course, Spike and I couldn't go through all of them in fear of breaking the stacks.

We reached the other end and sped on.

"Snotlout, Snotlout, oi oi oi!" He yelled and I joined in for fun.

"(Y/n), (y/n), oi oi oi!" Snotlout and I high fived before dropping the twins in the village then dismounting.

"That was awesome!" We cheered and the twins groaned.

"I'm scared to ask what you two did?" Astrid said appearing with Stormfly.

"Us or the twins?" I asked.

"Both." She sighed and we headed to the great hall for dinner.

The next morning let Spike rest and went down to the Blacksmith. I was not so surprised to find Hiccup passed out in the back.

I looked over at his sketches and he had designed a shield that could transform into a crossbow, with a picture of a Nightfury on it.

"Wake up dragon boy!" I called and threw Toothless a fish which he ate happily. Hiccup just groaned.

"Do I need to throw a fish at you too?" I asked. He once again groaned and I smirked and threw a fish at him.

"What the- why would you do that?!" Hiccup shot up and wiped the fish of him which Toothless snatched.

"Hey, I asked!" I laughed and ran to the other room.

"Morn'in lass, ere's the saddle!" Gobber said and handed me a large saddle.

"Thanks!" I chirped and cautiously walked back into the other room. It was empty.

I walked back over to the desk to look at the shield design. As I looked down an upside down black head shot from above.

"Toothless?!" I said surprised and dropped the saddle then screeched when someone picked me up.

"Now we're even!" It was obviously Hiccup and I stopped struggling and started laughing. He set me back down but kept his arms wrapped around my waist.

"What do you think of the shield?" He said and leaned my head back on his shoulder.

"It's a great design, I'm worried about the weight though." I said.

"Fishlegs said that he and Meatlug have made a new type of iron. We're supposed to check it out today." Hiccup explained and then let go.

"Well, let's saddle up Spike and find out." I smirked and grabbed my saddle.

"Need a lift?" He asked and Toothless roared.

"You mean I wasn't already getting one?" I said sarcastically and we walked out.

"You're very sassy today." Hiccup chuckled and offered me a hand.

I grabbed it and jumped on Toothless, wrapping my arms around Hiccup. "Well, you could've chosen Astrid instead." I joked and snuggled up to his back.

"As soon as we saw Toothless crash there was no competition in my mind." He replied honestly, blushing.

"Aww, you're so cheesy. Let's go get my dragon!" I yelled at the end and we flew to my hut.

I jumped off Toothless with my saddle and called Spike who slithered out of the cave.

"Let's get you saddled up!" I said and started hooking it up. After some failed attempts and putting it on too tight or loose. It was on perfectly...when Hiccup did it.

"What would I do with out you?"

"Fall out of the sky apparently." Hiccup shrugged his shoulders.

"You're calling me sassy?" I smiled, cocking an eyebrow.

"How about we go now?" Hiccup suggested.

"Yah, yah. Let's go!" I rolled my eyes and took off at top speed.
