Countries can often summon their national animal(s) whenever they want, even if said animal(s) is mythical or real. And if a country have multiple national animals then they can summon any and all of them when they want. This is why so many countries have a lion as their national animal.
also, if the animal is not native to their land, and is a real animal, it probably wouldn't be as strong as it would be if it were a native animal
