They usually just popped into existence somewhere usually in their own countries/land. Usually they show us a while before their own country comes into existence. This is so that the country before them can teach them what they need to know as a country and to grow and mature as a person before taking control as an actual country.
But sometimes (very rarely) a country can get pregnant, but this can only happen if there is a new country/colony/anything that requires a personification to be born, the child would have been conceived a little before the personification would have popped into existence, and if the ones to conceive the child would have been the 'parents' of the child anyways
But pregnancies and childbirth for personifications are very difficult because as they are part female, they are also part male and this can cause some complications
