Debby

It's been a week since our little getaway, a week since we had our sweet little moments, and a week without seeing her. As much as I want to go and stay there, I can't. I'm at Cebu right now, fixing my new store branch. It's under construction pa kasi and I have to check on the progress since my target opening is less that four months from now.

Naka schedule naman ang flight ko pauwi mamayang 7PM kaya hindi na ako gaanong nalungkot. Everyday I'm counting the hours nga para malaman ko kung malapit na ba ang uwi ko. I just want to see her and hug her if she will let me.

I am currently at the mall, busy strolling at one of the store when I saw two familiar faces come up to me.

  “Hi, Miss Deviana!”

I smile at the two, they were the teens na lumapit sa amin noon sa isla. Lyrie also introduced the other one as her cousin noong nagkita kami kaya I immediately remembered them. “Hello, girls! It's good to see you two. Are you studying in here?”

The taller one shook her head, followed by the shorter one. “We are here for school presscon po. Me and Ella is taking a break kasi natapos na ang contest,” Bridgette, as I remember, said while Ella, the cousin of Lyrie, nodded in agreement.

“Nice! I'm just about to go and shop for some gifts. Do you know where I can find a nice gift shop?”

“Sino po ba ang bibigyan mo?” Ella asked, finally decided to speak.

“Si Mandi.” I smile after saying her name. They both shared a look and I raised my left brow at them.  “What's with the look?”

“Nag bet po kami kung sino ang tama. Ako po sa hiwalay na, tapos si Bridgette naman po sa nagdadate. Eh parang tama si Bridgette na nagdadate ata kayo, not that gusto naming makisawsaw po pero-”

  “Sweetie, you're rambling again. Kalma.”

My grin widen hearing Bridgette say it to Ella. Ella's face flushed kasi, they look adorable.

“Sweetie ka riyan. Tigilan mo ako, Bridgette.”

The taller one pouted while Ella turn to look at me.

“May alam po ako. Pero baka medyo mahal.”

“Don't worry about the price. What is your suggestion ba?” I asked, now interested in what Ella has to say.

“Diba mahilig si Ate Mandi sa music, syempre singer nga siya. Tapos gusto niya mga tumutunog na bagay, ang galing niya kaya sa instru-”

“Sweetie, go straight to the point na.”

“Sandali, gusto ko lang mag explain para malaman ni Miss Debby kung bakit ko ito naisip.”

“You can tell her the shorter version. You always say things in long sentence, are you not tired of rambling?”

“Huwag ka mangialam nga. Gusto ko detailed, bakit ba?”

“But it'll take you hours if I let you explain.”

  “Edi huwag ka makinig.”
