Kathir was getting ready in his room, when Kanna walked in

"Enna anne, anni pudhu vandi vangitanga pola?"

"Adhan unaku news vandhuduchey. Aparam enthuku kekara?", Kathir said sounding disinterested.

"Illa. Inametu pick up drop illa pola. Adhan sogama irupiyanu pakka vandhean", Kanna said in a teasing tone.

Kathir just stared at his brother and continued to get ready

"Anni'a pakka pogadhathuku edhuku ipadi ready agara?"

While Kathir still did not respond, Kanna continued

"Oh! Inaikum vandi pinalayey poga poriya?"

Kathit stopped combing his hair and turned towards his little brother "Inum edavadhu news theriyama bakki iruka unaku?"

"Live relay, konjam delay la varudhu. Seri un kita suda suda news kekalamnu vandhean", Kanna sat on the bed comfortably not missing a chance to tease his brother.

"College polaya? Enna vandhu vambu iluthutu iruka?", Kathir used his stern voice though he was enjoying the teasing. All these were new to him and somehow he enjoyed it.

"Adhu elam poikalam. Naan ketadhu badhil sollu. Anni vandi pinadi poga poriya?", Kanna lay comfortably in the bed while speaking.

Kathir though enjoyed it, did not want his brother to get too involved as it might cause him trouble later. He decided to end this conversation.
"Amam! podhuma? Badhil kedachuducha? Kelambu ippo"

"Edhu? Adi vangi romba naal achu'nu nenaikarean", Kathir said moving his kada towards his elbow and twirling his fist.

"Po po ipadi LKG'la ley iru. Enaku enna?", Kanna mumbled loud enough for Kathir to hear and moved slowly towards the door.

"Dei iru!", Kathir called out to him and he did not fail to notice a big grin on Kanna's face.

"Enna anne. Kuptiya? Enaku college ku time achu. Enna vishayam sollu, late achu"

"Romba panadha da. Enna bus stand la vitutu, nee bikea college yedututu po inaiku", Kathir sheepishly said failing miserably to maintain his gethu.

Kanna was laughing hard when Dhanam Anni walked towards them.

"Enna da ipadi siripu?"

"Onum illa anni. College ku late achu. Anney vandi yedututu potanu ketean. Seri soliduchu. Adhan sandhosathula sirikarean", Kanna lied which made Kathir raise his eyebrow on how easily lies rolled on his tongue.

"oh! Kathir vandiya?", She said looking lost in thought. After a solid two minutes, she finally spoke

"Seri da. Yedututu po. Adhukunu fasta elam poga kudadhu. Seriya?"

Before Kanna could respond, she added

"Aparam dhenamum idhey pazhakama vechukadha"

Kanna couldn't help but smile at her Anni's concern and nodded.

"Seri anni"

Dhanam not being done with the advices, turned to Kathir for his turn "Adha vandi than nee ipo yedukaradhu ilayey. Petrol iruka da?"
