Days passed and things got busy with the wedding preparations at both houses. With Mullai not going to work and Kathir travelling daily to Karaikudi, they also did not find any time to meet each other.

One evening Mullai was visiting Kunnakudi Murugan temple for her yet another vendudhal by per parents, when she met Meena.

"Yepadi Meena irukenga? Dulla theriyarenga?"

"Evugha kita?", Meena asked and Mullai blushed

"Neenga mathika elam nenaikarenga. Enala elam mudiyadhu pa. Naan inum Jeevava va da po da than kupidarean", Meena said and sighed.

"Mama pathi sonadhum ipadi mugam vadiduchu. Enna achu? Sandai onum Podalayey? ", Mullai asked concerned.

"Pesama engayavadhu rendu peru matum poitu varalam la?", Mulla suggested

"Kettu pathutean. Velai vittu enga varan", Meena sighed in frustration.

"Mulla, enaku oru help panuvengala?" Meena asked out of blue.

"Solunga"

"Kanna Jeeva va convince panni yepadiyavadhu velila kutitu varenu sonnan. Aana, enga veeta Jeeva kuda porenu sonna, indha samayathula edhukunu aramipanga. Veetalayey pesunganu soluvanga. Mullai instantly felt bad for Meena. She had been missing Kathir terribly too, even though they talk every night before retiring to bed. She could very well understand Meena and wanted to help her.

"En kuda anupuvangala? Adhu ilama avanga solradhu seri thana? Indha time la bike la poradhu naladhu ilayey?"

"Appa kita solli car la poikalam. Jeeva kuda poga car nu sonna, marupadiyum andha veetla vasathi illa, car ilanu aramipar"

Mullai nodded and smiled knowing how Meena adjusted in Pandian house just for her love towards Jeeva and felt happy for them both.

November 25th, 2021

The day of planning arrived. Mullai's parents were out of town to give last set of invitations. She used the opportunity to step out. Mullai had called in Meena the previous night to confirm the plan. Jeeva was not aware of the visit. Kanna was to go to the café outside Kunnadi and call Jeeva faking a punctured tire. Once Jeeva arrives, Mullai and Kanna would leave the couple on their own.

She took an auto to Meena's place and after spending few hours talking random things, Mullai suggested kovil and friends visit to her mother. Kalai reluctantly agreed and arranged a car with a driver for them. After Meena changed her saree, they left to the café to meet Jeeva.
