16 YEARS LATER
The phone in your living room began ringing, making you jump. You weren't expecting any calls from anyone in the middle of the night.
You sighed and walked in the living room, grabbing the rotary phone. You placed the device on your right ear, "Hello?"
"Hello."
The voice was deep and smooth. "Who's this?" you asked, furrowing your eyebrows.
"It's Nick," the voice said. Your eyes widened when you remembered your childhood ex boyfriend. You remembered him cheating on you with Ziggy Berman.
Your anger from that time came back to you, "Don't call me ever again." You were about to put the phone down when Nick said, "God damn it, Y/n. That happened 16 years ago."
"I don't care, you broke my heart," you said, glaring at the floor. "How can somebody forget the time their ex cheated on them?"
Nick was silent, making you annoyed. "Okay, if you're not going to answer then why even bother to call me?" you said, rolling your eyes.
"I'm sorry," Nick said before hanging up. You sighed and put the phone down.
You walked back into the kitchen, "What a half assed apology."
