Standing outside your house was Kate Schmidt and some younger girls that looked extremely alike.
"Kate?" you whispered, furrowing your eyebrows. "What are you doing here?" You looked behind her to see Simon Kalivoda. "What's going on?"
"Well, since you're the nearest house and you know how to take care of kids like I do-I'm leaving them with you," she smiled.
"What? Why?" you squinted your eyes at her.
"Because we think somebody's in the twins' house and we gotta get them out," she said quickly.
You noticed some red stains on Simon's white shirt. "Wait.. are you guys okay?"
Kate turned around and glared at him as he zipped his red jacket to hide it. "Yeah," she said. "Have fun!"
The twins walked inside your house as Kate walked away. You sighed and rolled your eyes, closing the door and locking it.
