Y/n opened his eyes, he groaned as he sat up. "Ugh ..." He said, throwing his legs over the side.
"Y/n! You're awake!" Lapis said, hurrying over to her favourite human. "... I made you breakfast ..."
Y/n rubbed his eyes for a moment, before the smell of beautifully cooked pancakes made him turn his head. "You don't have to cook for me y'know?" He smiled pulling Lapis into a hug. "But I appreciate it ..."
Lapis nuzzled her head into Y/n's neck, taking in his embrace. "I wanted to do it as an apology for last night ..." She shyly admitted. "It was wrong that I tried to interrupt your date ..."
Y/n separated from the hug, keeping his hands on her shoulders. "I understand why you did it ... Just ... Promise me you won't do it again?" He asked.
Lapis nodded, but then realised. "Does that mean you'll be having another date with her?" She asked, hoping the answer was no.
Y/n hummed. "Probably not ..." He admitted. "I think I can move on ... But not with her."
Lapis immediately felt relieved. "Why? Was the date that bad?" She asked.
Y/n chuckled. "No, it was a good date, but we don't have much in common." He told. "We both had fun, but it's probably best me and her stay friends."
Lapis started to giggle, talking Y/n into a tight hug.
"Lapis ..." Y/n croaked out. "Can't ... Breathe ..."
"Oh! ... Sorry ..." Lapis mumbled before separating.
"It's okay!" Y/n reassured with a smile. "Why don't we eat?"
"Ya! I made us some waffles." Lapis smiled back, taking Y/n's hand, and leading him towards the kitchen table.
"These look delicious!" Y/n told as he sat down at the table with Lapis, the both of them starting to eat.
Y/n took a few bites out of the waffles, stars managing to appear in his eyes. "They are delicious!" He told, nudging Lapis slightly.
Lapis blushed at the praise, it made her feel warm and happy inside every time she received praise off Y/n. "... Thanks ..." She giggled.
Y/n took a quick look around. "Where's Peridot?" He asked. "Pretty rare for her not be in earshot."
"She's checking on the farm at the barn." Lapis told, taking another bit from the waffles. "She had read about fertilizers."
"Ah, I wonder how they'll grow." Y/n said. "Actually ... I wonder what would happen if Steven used some of his spit on it ..."
Lapis cringed slightly. "Ew ..." She said.
Y/n chuckled. "Least you didn't have to drink his spit."
Lapis giggled. "Yah, but he slapped his spit covered hand on my gem!"
Y/n chuckled, finishing what was left of the waffle with Lapis doing the same. "Okay, it was bad for both of us." He said, picking up his and lapis' plate, standing up, taking them to the kitchen.
Lapis giggled again, standing up, and following Y/n. Watching as he placed the plates in the sink. "So ... What do you plan on doing today?" Lapis asked, playfully nudging him in the arm.
"I was thinking of informing everyone about the bunker's presence." Y/n hummed, leaning against the counter. "I'll spread the word out somehow, but I guess I'll also need to set up an alarm system that everyone will hear ..."
"Ugh, another boring day for me then ..." Lapis said in a playfully voice.
"You can help me, if you want." Y/n asked.
