Night was falling. The friends knew. But frankly, they didn't care. Any mobs they would encounter would easily be dispatched. Their eyes were on the prize, and nothing would deter them from finding the Wither. Ranger walked beside Toxic; they were at the head of the group. "Watch out!" Toxic yelled. Suddenly she lunged at something behind Ranger.

The creeper fell, dead. Ranger stared at it. "Wow. That almost happened again." She said. Toxic grinned and said "You're welcome." Ranger nodded, and they kept walking. A little later, a skeleton decided to pay Toxic a visit. "Duck!" Ranger yelled. Toxic dropped to the ground as an arrow passed over her head.

The skeleton fell, dead. Shot by Ranger's arrow. Toxic looked at it, then said "That would have been bad." Ranger smiled and said "Now we're even." Toxic hurried away from the skeleton and they kept walking. "We need to get back through the portal. And this time, Blaze won't scare us away." Steph said. Ranger nodded. Toxic asked "How will Ranger get across? The boat broke."

"Hm, I wonder? I certainly can't teleport right across." Ranger replied sarcastically. Toxic nodded slowly. "Oh, right. Forgot about that." She said. Mineral asked "What if Blaze is there?" Dave answered "Then Blaze is there. Nothing we can do about it." Pro added "Except ignore her." Toxic nodded and said "Point taken."

For a while they walked in silence until they reached the cave again. They journeyed back through and reached the water pool. Ranger teleported across while the others waded through the ankle-deep water. Mineral didn't have to break the protective stone wall; they had forgotten to seal it when they left.

"We all go in at the same time." Mineral said. They all agreed. None of them wanted to be the first. They held hands and stepped into the portal. Within seconds, nothing remained of them in the Overworld. They had gone to the Nether.

"WATCH OUT!" Toxic yelled. Mineral dodged the fireball. It wasn't Blaze who was throwing them, no. It was none other than the Wither. "The Nether happened to it?" Ranger asked, dodging another fireball. The Wither replied "I'm in my human form, genius. What's it look like?" Mineral got out her sword and leapt at the Wither.

She managed a single stroke before she was flung back by another fireball. "It's too powerful! We need to get it out of this form!" Dave said. Ranger replied "You think?" Then she had an idea. She yelled "Mineral, Pro, Toxic, keep me covered! I have an idea!" They formed a semicircle in front of her.

Ranger stepped back a pace and held out her hands. Sure enough, the same black and purple ball of energy formed. "That won't work, remember?" Toxic said, hitting a fireball back at the Wither. Ranger gritted her teeth and replied "Trust me." She began to swirl her hands, making the energy ball swirl in turn. Streaks of dull grey showed in the ball now.

"What are you doing?" Pro asked. Ranger stumbled a little, then replied "Drawing on extra Ender power to change the Wither back to its normal form. But I need your help. I need you to put an arrow, a sword, and a potion of weakness inside it."

Toxic pulled an arrow from her inventory and placed it in the energy ball. It dissipated into brown mist and brown streaks appeared in the energy ball. Dave supplied the sword. It dissipated into light grey-white mist. Streaks of light grey and white appeared in the energy ball. Pro grabbed a potion of weakness from her inventory and placed it in the energy ball. The energy swelled up, growing larger. It was now pure black with a red glowing ring around the edges.

Ranger flung the energy ball with all her might at the Wither. It engulfed the Wither, smashing it into the ground. A bright white glow erupted from the body of the Wither, almost blinding all of them. The Wither began to change back. The arms and legs vanished, a body disappeared, and the two other heads grew back.

Toxic yelled "Yes! Now we can fight on even terms!" She drew her sword, and the others did the same. This was the battle they had been waiting for. Once they defeated the Wither, they could continue the journey to defeat Herobrine. And now the Wither had been converted back to its less-powerful form. Not much of a Champion now, Toxic thought.
