I messaged Nigel. "Come here."
Let's kiss.
"I am busy, Aki."
"Are you cheating on me?"
"What cheating? You are crazy. Say you like me first; I'll stop what I am doing right now and rush there."
Ugh! I want Gel right now.
I called him
"Open your cam, Gel."
"Aki, I am really doing something. Later, okay?"
"Suspicious. I want to see what you are doing."
He opened the camera and put his phone on the rack, I guess, camera facing him.
"Did you see this? I am organizing for tomorrow."
"What time will you finish there? You have no time for me."
"So, you like me? Just say the magic word. I'll come running." He looked at the screen.
"Talk to you again later after that." I dropped the call.
I showered and changed clothes.
"Where are you going?" Mom asked.
"Come here, help me peel these."
I don't even want to see sweet potatoes. I am so sick of it.
"Mom, I have plans. I can't help, sorry."
"Aki!!! Didn't you hear your mom?" Damn! I didn't notice dad sitting on the couch. When he is with his iPad or laptop, he is definitely working.
I didn't dress up to peel sweet potatoes. I am in a rush.
Dad is staring at me. Fine! I'll peel these fucking purple thingy.
Rye came out of his room.

"Rye, mom said he needs help pee...."
He cut me off.
"Mom, my head is aching." Rye, this fox. Liar jerk!
"What happened to my Ryerye?"

Rye is acting again. "Go ahead and rest in your room. You have medicine?" Mom asked.
"Yeah, I think I need to sleep more. I love you, mom."
He just saw sweet potatoes; suddenly, he has a headache.
I continued what I was doing. "Help me cook too."
"Sshh. Mom, lower your voice."
If my dad hears him asking me to help, I really can't leave the house.
"I can't help later, mom. I am going to Gel's place." I am almost whispering.
"Ohh, you didn't tell me. You go ahead. Your dad will help me here. right, baby?" Mom asked him.
"Right, baby?" He repeated.
"Let me finish this one first." Daddy said.
"I am tired." Mom uttered loudly.
"Let me do that, baby. Rest here."
Dad is really whipped.
Mommy winked at me. "Did you see that?" He bragged. "I am the boss."
I drove to Gel's cafe. It's not opened yet, but he is there organizing.
I opened the glass door.
"We are not open yet... Aki? What are you doing here? You didn't tell me."
He looked so surprised. "Shit! I am so ugly. Let me wash my face first!"
I walked towards him.
"I came here to answer your question earlier...I like you! Yes, you won! I like you, Gel."
He is just staring at me.
"Stop joking. Are you saying just to have a kiss? Are you h-hungry?"
He can't look at me. His lips are trembling. "I think I have brownies here. Wait..." He walked to the counter.
