42. Reminiscing births of miracles!(I) - Chiku

And a dear reader who's original request made me write all these pregnancy flashbacks MahimaAhmed, thanks for patiently waiting for this dear 💝

Flashback: September 2015

Hum pe sitaaron ka ehsaan ho| Poora, adhoora har armaan ho| 
Ek dusre se jo baandhe humein| Baahon mein nanhi si ik jaan ho|
Aabaad ho chota sa ghar| Lag na sake kisi ke nazar|

(lose translation: May the stars bless us with a little one who ties us with each other!)

Since last few months Khushi had been thinking about motherhood and the more she thought about it, the more eager she became to hold her baby in her arms! Payal-Akash's good news had really helped everyone in Raizada and Gupta households to get over the sadness after Khushi's miscarriage and since last 8 months, Khushi and Arnav did their best to find their lost happiness in their siblings'.

Although the doctor had given Arnav-Khushi go-ahead for the pregnancy almost 6 months ago and the topic of kids was discussed a few times amongst them too, but they both had agreed to wait another year or so until Payal's baby was born so as to not overwhelm everyone with 2 babies around!
However, a week before their 3rd wedding anniversary, Khushi decided the wait was enough! She had seen how Arnav had a longing look in his eyes whenever Akash spoke about the baby, or when Payal showed them her sonogram images and she herself was no different! She even briefly spoke about it to her Jiji who only encouraged her that having another baby in the house soon after Payal's wouldn't be such a bad thing, in fact they had an army of people who would happily help them!

Overjoyed Payal then spoke about it to Akash, who decided to tease Arnav.

Arnav was surprised when Akash mentioned Khushi wanted to talk to him about kids. He had even thought out loud, "Khushi mujhse bacchon ke barein mein kya baat karna chahti hain? (what does khushi want to talk to me about kids?). She is herself a child!"
But then, as she gleefully told him she was ready for their baby, he knew he was in for it too!

She stopped the pills and he used every given excuse to pull her to their bedroom and say 'they needed to ensure no chance was missed'! And the efforts paid off when just in a month of their 'trying' and they had stopped with the birth control, Khushi had a positive on all 3 home pregnancy kits she used. It was Arnav who had read it for them though, she had hidden her face in his chest, too scared to look at the results. But when he didn't say anything after a long moment, she raised her face to look at him and then at the 3 test kits lying on the sink, all showing 2 lines, screaming of their impending parenthood!

Arnav kissed her forehead as Khushi closed her eyes in pure bliss! No one said anything after that, cherishing this moment which had come to bless them!

The happiness was around the corner!

First trimester

Surprisingly, the first trimester was easy for her. Except occasional bouts of nausea, she was pretty much fine. Although, she used to restrict herself from any and every physical movement. Not to forget, having recently seen her Jiji go through the same, she and Arnav were more than up-to-date on the watch-outs and thumb rules of every trimester!
