86. Khushi's workday

Many of you wanted to see a glimpse of Khushi's office, especially my dear readers Rosyberry and Trtrtrtr200 had reminded me recently. So, here you go. Along with a peek in her office, you'll also see her workday routine from morning itself. Hope you all enjoy! ❤

Khushi was very happy, butterflies- no- large butterflies were dancing in her tummy and she was watching with mesmerized eyes as none other than Salman Khanji stood in front of her! Sakshat(He himself) Salman Khanji! And just as he was about to sign an autograph on her extended palm, an annoying sound startled her! She frowned and hoped the sound would go away but there was no sign of it. She started thrashing her hands in the air in an attempt to stop that sound. She hit few things then - an alarm clock and a husband - in that order and the loud sound stopped, which got replaced by a sleepy, irritated voice,

"Oww! Khushi, kya kar rahi ho(what are you doing)?" Arnav asked rubbing his nose where Khushi had hit with her elbow!

Khushi finally opened her sleepy eyes, still a little disoriented due to the effect of that dream she had. And came face to face with her personal Salman Khan ji urf Arnavji who was trying to be angry at her in his own sleepy state! The dream long forgotten, she focused on his face and chuckled. Years passed but she couldn't change his habit of sleeping 'entangled' with her nor her habit of 'hitting' him in her sleep! Kissing that same nose, she had hit, she tried to get up when she felt a tug on her hand.

"Where are you going? Sleep for some more time." He urged her. Oh, how she would have loved to lie there in her comfortable bed with even more comfortable pillow aka his chest, but she didn't have that liberty today. It was Friday- even if it was the last day of the workweek, but still a workday!

"Aur nahi so sakte, 6 baj gaye hai Arnavji(We can't sleep more, it's 6 O'clock)." she said, silently counting the hours till the next morning which was a weekend when they could sleep some more...

"WHAT? Why didn't you wake me up before? I will be late for jogging." He said, sitting up, making her mouth open in stupor! It was her in the first place who had set that alarm and he was questioning her only. As they say, ulta chor kotwal ko daante!

Arnav had recently resumed jogging after taking a brief break as *ahem* their nights were busier after his 'that problem' was resolved. During that time, kids were still having summer break, so Arnav and khushi used their nighttime efficiently. But after the school reopened last week, Khushi had declared she needed at least 6 hours of sleep to juggle between her work and her kids' routines and Arnav resumed his jog.

She was still in her thoughts when suddenly she heard her husband who had by then got up from the bed and was heading towards the bathroom. She couldn't let that happen today, she had to wake her kids, get ready herself and reach her office-Gupta foods before 9am for an important client visit...

"Arnavji, rukiye, I need to use the bathroom first. I have an important-" before she could complete that sentence, Arnav came back near their bed, kissed her lips to silence her and taking advantage of her shock, marched back towards the bathroom!

"Use the one in kids' room, Khushi. Bye."

"Laad governor kahi ke!" she said after him, but he had already closed the door. "Uth ja Khushi, warna tu bhi office ke liye late ho jayegi aur bacche bhi school ke liye(wake up Khushi, otherwise you and kids both will be late)." she said to herself, tying her hair in a loose bun and leaving for the kids' room.
