she walked into the apartment she was now sharing with her boyfriend. she had to come alone because it was race weekend and carlos would be away until tuesday so she wanted to surprise him by moving in.

it wasnt a complete surprise. the couple had planned to do this after the race weekend when carlos had came back but y/n was just far too excited.

she wandered into the bedroom that was carlos's and noticed the drawers were completely empty while his clothes were on the bed with a note on it. she wandered over to the bedside and read the note in her head 'clear drawers and cupboard for y/n coming!'

"what a guy..." she chuckled and looked around i guess i could start putting out clothes away she thought and started unpacking her suitcases.

she had many clothes but not as much as alot of other girl. see she wasnt rich but wasnt poor she was more 'wealthy' meaning she had enough to enjoy herself and have fun sometimes, treat herself and carl to alot of things but she didnt have enough to spend recklessly without any planning or thought to it whatsoever.

she sighed happily as she started placing carls things into a set of drawers and one side of the cupboard. she folded the trousers and jeans quickly and neatly  while listening to f/s (fave song) soon enough she started belting out the lyrics with a huge smile on her face. she used her hairbrush as a microphone and jumped up onto the bed singing her heart out.

carlos's pov

it was race day yesterday and  had planned to stay till tuesday but i decided to surprise y/n by coming home early and getting her to move in as soon as possible. just now i was sitting with my friend and teammate charles. he agreed to help me and y/n to move her stuff into my house.

"uh charles i was thinking of going home?" i said and looked over to my friend
"werent she expecting you on uhm tuesday?" he asked and i nodded with a smile "yes i know but i want to surprise her so she can move in earlier. im too excited to wait" i smile like and idiot and charles nodded "if you hurry you will catch the flight i will drive and you can book the ticket. but i cant come with i have plans with seb later so ill come help tomorrow?" he informed and i stood up happily "yes of course thank you!" he chuckled and stood up with me "your welcome. you'll give her a heart attack tho!" he joked and i laughed while getting into the car.

she finished putting the clothes away and decided to go to the shop to get food for tonight. she put on carlos's hoodie and her own jacket before she grabbed her bag and turned off all the lights before she left the apartment.

she smiled too herself as she walked down to the shop. she looked around and noticed the sun was  almost setting. she loved the sunset it was beautiful, it made her feel like she was home, gave her a warm feeling in her chest and she couldnt look at it any different.

"wow" she mumbled while taking a picture and looking at it one more time before going into the shop.

she wandered around,  picking some snacks first and then making her way toward drinks to gran
f/d (favourite drink) and lastly she made her way towards the proper food. she grabbed some salad stuff, raw chicken and a few things to season it with. she also took some bacon and eggs for tomorrow morning.

"perfect!" she beamed while walking back to what is now hers and carlos's apartment. she unlocked the door with her key and set all the ingredients on the counter. she looked into a couple of cupboards to see what ones were empty. after finding one she put her snacks into it and turned on the cooker to prepare the chicken.

while she was cooking she yet again put on her favourite song and started singing, now using the spatula as her new microphone (what an upgrade right).

without hearing or paying attention to the door, carlos came in wondering what he racket in his suppose to be empty house was. that was until he saw his goofy h/c haired girlfriend singing hr favourite song in his kitchen in short shorts and his hoodie.

he slowly walked over not disturbing her cooking or singing. the food she was cooking did smell good if he had to admit it. he was so happy that she was here, but why?

he wanted to find out so he walked over to the speaker and turned it off "that damn speaker always giving m- carlos?" y/n said as she turned around to see the speaker "y-your here, why, how, what about race weekend?" she asked and he chuckled "i should be the one asking you why you are here" she shrugged to say ' i guess so ' and he smiled brighter "im not complaining, im glad you are here... i was going to call you but this is so much bette!"

"but seriously why are you here?" he smiled while embracing her into a hug "i actually wanted to surprise you too" she smiled and looked up to him "all my stuff is officially here" she chuckled and his eyes widened "you moved in?" he asked excitedly "really?!" he asked eagerly "yeah! i done it today" she said while he let her put focus on her chicken. "do you want some i done plenty? i was going to have it for lunch tomorrow but i'd prefer to have a salad." her boyfriend nodded happily while he just admired her beauty until his attention drew back to one things "uh y/n" he said and raised an eye brow "yes love?" she smiled while dishing the food "is... that my hoodie?" he asked and she looked down at herself "oh yeah, its mine now" she smirked and handed her baffled lover hi plate of food.

"uhm okay" he chuckled after he recovered from the short reply "i have snacks for a movie" she said as she sat on the sofa "ohhhh well i have f/m (favourite movie)" he said and sat next to her "really" she beamed and looked over to him
"yes i got it before i left. i had  to get help cause ive never heard of  it but i got it" he shrugged with a childish smile on his face. y/n decided to put her plate on the table and slowly lean over so her head was rested on the spanish drivers shoulder and her body layed sideways. carlos sighed happily and put an arm around her "this is nice" he breathed and she nodded in agreement.

"agreed. im glad you came home early... i missed you" she said and kissed his cheek.
